Hey,

I picked up draven a few days ago, I really like him I just have trouble in that I get too many assists if I dont snowball in lane. At one point in my last game i was 3/4/11 and this really hurt me because I didnt have enough gold to buy bfs and the enemy is buying armor ect. I am falling off.

Why is it that I cant get these kills, and also, is there a way to make my screen wider? I feel like I have more room on other ppl's screens when i play on there computers. I want to zoom out more. When I am on the back line I cant see the enemy.

^^This was my OP a few days ago on a thread I started. I had two specific questions. None of them were answered. Instead other entirely extraneous topics were addressed and I was flamed. Was told that I do not understand my role. Was given a build that I did not ask for. When I explained why I build the way I build I was patronized and flamed.

My questions:

  1. How do I finish more kills as the ad carry?

This question was motivated by a game in which I could not farm my lane because a fed kassadiin was camping me at ~20 min. My only choice was to stick to groups of teammates who, btw, would neither let me farm nor let me life steal on creeps. I thought, and still think that if I had been able to finish 2-3 kills out of the 5 or so that pantheon finished for me over 2 back-to-back team fights I would have been able to afford last whisper and elixer of wrath. Allowing me to handle Kassadin and go back to farming a lane.

  1. How do I increase the scope of my screen in game?

This question was motivated by the fact that I lock my screen in position and cant easily switch btween locked in and free screen under pressure. Due to that, I sometimes have to get in range of the enemy CC in order to even see them!

As I said before, no one addressed the OP. Instead I was hounded as a noob.

Now, the truth is that changing to a different standard resolution fixed BOTH of my problems! But no one offered this advice. All of the experts flaming me for believing in the way i like to build draven either didnt know how to do this or didnt care to help me. Instead they tried to set themselves up as experts and offer unsolicited advice all the while pointing out that I had a too large ego.

Then they had the audacity to tell me I am not very receptive to help nor am I very appreciative....well thats because they ignored my important questions and didnt ask for any information before rejecting my questions as misinformed.

I already knew that the adc is supposed to take towers. They have AS and AD. I already knew that its better that an entire team is fed than one person. DUH. But everyone had that advice for me, and they ignored the tougher questions I asked.

Then some of these people suggested that they were LOL coaches. Thats a bit far reaching from somone who wont try to understand the actual problems before offering solutions to entirely different problems.

I know no one asked me, but since Im only talking to people that already offer unsolicited advice let me say this:

If you want to be a coach and help someone, and you want to believe that their questions are entirely misinformed don't make that assumption. Ask questions first. Make sure you have a better understanding of the problem than ONE post can provide.

Looks to me like you are dying way too much. The reason you probably are only getting assists is going too ham and dying, then the kill is finished off while you are dead. swap enchanted armor for recovery. Gives a tad bit more sustain early to help you stick around and be healthier so you can finish fights. You shouldnt really be building armor to get the benefit from enchanted armor anyways. Frenzy>spell weaving. Full tier 3 rune page might also help. Havent happened to have recorded a game have you? need to actually see what you are or arent doing.

This is my try 2 with you, and this time I will be more specific and empathetic.

Finishing kills as the ADC can come in many different ways, timing your last auto or asking your team to feed you a bit are some. Your primary source of kills are bot lane, if your support is taking them without knowing then ask them to stop. If they don't DO NOT resort to talking more about it, just drop it and try to time last hits. You NEED to know never to wait around to auto them to get kill because they may just get away.

  1. How do I increase the scope of my screen in game? You should play on unlocked, if you want the feel of locked screen and still are not used to it, try playing on unlocked while holding down spacebar. When i play botlane i usually center my camera more on the enemy because I need to know what THEY are doing.

Nobody cares about your biased problems, if you linked OT people would be afraid to help you because you don't take any advice you can. Rather, you tried to start an argument which was unneeded in the first place, all I did was suggest a new build to help you get kills and after you tried to argue that PD was better. I'm glad you have your opinion, but you DID tell the readers that you JUST started playing Draven and you were coaching a Diamond player on how to build Draven. Nevertheless, the fault lies on both of our sides. Just try to absorb advice rather than argue it. When i start a new champ, i listen to anybody and everybody who has even played a game on them, i may not BELIEVE it but i never DISCARD it.

Yeah that's normal. Try the scroll wheel, if that doesn't work i'm at a loss :(.

Nami lane is quite special against draven, it makes him have to think REALLY hard.

Whenever you try to catch an axe, she'll q it to force you to drop it or get bubbled. She heals with her W and deals damage to you simultaneously Her E buffs her ADC so much that they can fight toe to toe damage wise with you for 3 autos Ulti makes you lose 1 or 2 axes.

Knowing all of this, you need to take advantage in a way that forces her to act differently.

Maybe knowing she'll q, watch for the red lines then W away to avoid bubble, or ignore bubble overall and just go straight on her for damage.

Knowing her W can bounce, avoid being next to her adc to minimize damage and healing.

Knowing her E buffs, fight whenever it is down.

Knowing her ult drops your axes, try flashing over it during an all in, or just dodging it completely using your W. her ult is very obvious animation wise and easy to see coming, just go down vertically/horizontally dependent on position when you see her animation (She puffs out her chest, sucks it in while twirling her staff and then big wave comes out).
