Read every line. Understand pick order. Call your pref. Don't assume where people are going. Ask. Help out your teammates and check their Summoners. if you are going to take a piss , wait till the load screen

I would like to add:

When someone asks, answer.

Because I'm sick to death of Me: "Hey, are you going Nidalee jungle?" Me: "I called jungle way at the start and I'm technically higher pick order than you." (3rd vs 4th on blue side, for example) Me: "If you can only play jungle I'll switch, but I need to know." Me: "Hello?" Me: "Okay, we have 10 seconds left and you don't have smite, I'm gonna assume you aren't jungling." Me: locks in Rek'Sai or something Them: (with 3 seconds left) "WTF I'M JUNGLE FUCK YOU" They then tell the other team to report me, and attempt to steal my camps at every opportunity.

Actually, let's add another line to that:

Don't throw tantrums. If you aren't mature enough to accept when things don't go your way, you probably aren't mature enough to play an online game.

Another horror is when first pick is totally silent. Everyone else is calling prefered role/lanes and then waits for first pick to say something. Then the silence begins. First you assume they are typing a long sentence. But after a while you realize that its worse than a slow typer. They are AFK or their keyboard just died.

At that point everyone else is filling roles and picking champs and yet has no idea what first was going to do, can do, or knows how to play.

Communication starts at champ select. Its like with wards. Talk/ward and win games.

I hate game where people don't state preferences. I usually try to fill, but I've had games where I am second or third pick and grab support, then get yelled at by a duo because he wanted it, despite having been silent the whole time.

Also, add: remember that sometimes someone takes a couple extra seconds to load, and won't see chat before that. So wait a few seconds before calling anything.

I will upvote this until I die.

Sometimes they hate you for the rest of the game if you ask what role they're playing in champ select.

"hey nid, where are u going?" "where the fuck do you think?"

I only wish I could upvote more than once.

My absolute FAVORITE player in champ select is when last pick locks mid/top when I called mid/top Quinn, and then says "oh I thot u were adc", and literally FORCES me to either play Quinn adc (which I don't enjoy), or have my team report ME for not just going adc to fix the team comp.

Like I get early pick and still get forced into a role... that's just so much fun.

Another thing: Learn to type before playing league. It is common sense but people don't understand it.

every other game i play is like this, like a yasuo autolocked as last pick on red side, when a malz was first pick on our team and called mid, and then Yasuo says, oh im going mid, Malz can support and then auto locks. Yeah it was ranked and to say the least, we lost.

when you pick corki and somone else picks an adc cause they think your going mid even tho you call adc

There was one game like 2 weeks ago, everyone pick and got the role they wanted. The player that called mid took Master Yi with Smite/TP... I was ok, weird choice. Since Smite/TP was being picked sometimes for a laner. I called jungler and was asking, even spamming trying to confirm if he was really going mid. Doesn't say a thing so i took Rek'sai jungle and after everyone champs are locked in he flips out saying he's jungle. Nope, he was forced to cover mid lane vs a Liss. You called mid, I asked several times trying to confirm your role and no response so go mid. Died FB, but he got ahead enough and we won game.

So far only twice i missed someone going called top with Smite/TP thinking they were jungler. Didn't see em call top just saw the smite and assume jungle...

Or when they choose Annie and say they're going to support, then let me lock in my mid laner and exclaim they want to go mid instead..

Thanks buddy.

First pick takes Lulu with summoner 4 summoner 21. "Where you going with that lulu?" Silence ensues.
