Give players who play 75% or more games as solo players a special banner to signify their ability.
So it would be like an add on to the gold or plat banner. Sort of like a mastery or teamwork banner as well.. Idk. What you think?

what if instead we, solo players, gained more LP? I think that baddies getting carried do win less LP per victory and loose more as well, but if you break LP gain down in a bar (as IP gain does with boosts) solo players could gauge the fairness of the whole issue better.
What if they just duo? is that still them being "baddies" and being "carried" even though, ya know, you could duo in the old system.
it should be exponential, the more people you have on your team, the less "solo" points you get on the bar.
It is a fact that if you're bronze and you queue up with a gold friend you'll gain less LP, but people don't even know how much you loose for doing that.
actually, they just need another ranking beside the actual one.
Lp/ranked ladder is what define your ability to climb while you focus on teamplay, it stay as it is now with the end season reward and stuff (because being good at teamplay stuff, either you do them or react to them, is imo what should be first rated in a team oriented game)
next to that, it the end game screen, if they could add a fourth point system (lp, mastery point, ip and "new unit") based on your succes against team organisation (win more if solo against a higher mr premade, win less if full premade against full solo, with the opossite in case of a loss) that would rate the individual level of a player (the ability to show how you can 1v9, root of the problem here) without hurting the actual ladder
Well I think that adding another ranking system would make things a bit more complicated... mainly because there's no way to gauge where you belong, say you are silver on solo and platinum on team, what's you real ranking then? gold? both?
Also, solo players are going to have a huge hole on team rank and it'll carve into them just like the current system does :S
I think that the current system does a good job at calculating what it has always calculated, but it does an awful job portraying it
I would say both are your actual ranking (and to avoid confusion, maybe don't use the bronze/silver/... stuff for both ranking but create a whole new one for personnal impact stuff)
You can be good in team but bad solo, so you probably wont climb the solo ranking high, both result leading to your true value. The same is also true for the opposite, you can be good solo, but not that great at impacting the result of the match as a team so you wont climb fast in the actual ranked system, but a 50/50 winrate will make you climb second ladder faster than a premade
Sorry, that's just a terrible idea.
BobbyBoosted plays with his friends to get from Bronze 5 to Diamond 5. BobbyBoosted then decides to play the game without his friends, since he's now a big bad Diamond 5! He utterly fails, going 0/30/0, but because he's "solo" that game, he loses less LP than the duo he's matched with, despite costing them the game?
Duoing with my wife we maintain about a 50% win rate. We deserve to fall in down from high bronze/low silver because we play together, while 0/13/0 solo top lane player we had a while back deserve to climb more than us?
Your hyperbole has a lot of flaws and I'll explain them:
-It doesn't matter if you begin in bronze and queue up with your friends until you're diamond, your MMR adjusts with your wins/looses, meaning that it doesn't matter if you're in Diamond, if your MMR is super low (Which already happens if you climb by getting carried with your friends), you'll queue against plats, golds and if low enough even silvers.
-Currently, you playing with your wife in fact gives you less LP, unless of course your MMRs are close to the same number, in that case yes, the penalty of duoing is almost zero but you can't deny that you play worse when you're not with her, meaning that your solo skill is lower, so it'd be harder for you to climb ranked if you're alone either way and guess what, a LOT of people play alone and it's harder for us to climb because we don't have a buddy covering our backs. So yes it should be harder for you to climb if you have an eternal duo, because either way if you played alone it'd be harder as well, you're just hacking the system by playing with someone else.
-breaking down LP gain will only reveal a lot of things that goes unnoticed, you wouldn't fall down into bronze but it'd be harder for you to climb up, imagine two players with the same MMR and skill level, maybe it takes the duo player a week and a half to climb from gold 5 to gold 4, while it takes a solo player almost a month to climb from gold 5 to gold 4, how is that fair?
With your system, BobbyBoosted would lose less LP for playing solo than he would with his friends. That's the exact opposite of what you want to have happen with a boosted player, you want them to keep playing with their friends so they don't ruin someone else's game. Gaining more per win and losing less per loss will result in him staying at a higher rank for longer than he should after he leaves his premade.
When I've wanted to climb faster, I've played more solo ranked games. Playing with my wife guarantees one fewer idiot on my team, but drags down the MMR enough that I get matched with more idiots as a whole. Same situation as last year, nothing unique to Dynamic Queue about that. It's not easier to win together, it's just better to play together.
From my own personal experience, I think you vastly overestimate the climbing potential of Duos. I think my own experience points to those estimates being backwards.
Ip and mac adress block should be easy to implement in LoL (as Steam or ArcGames does for exemple)
People playing from too much different IP's and Mac should give explanations or they will simply get banned. Boosters always log in with a vpn and on different pc, that's why such a system should be impemented to make the game fair for everyone.
But again, there are a lot of problems in LoL, scripts for exemple. Riot (with lot of millions of $$$) are too bad to stop the 3th party software, they could encrypt all the assets and make the memory unreadable, take away all client sided things and make them server sided.
IP bans are a terrible idea, as banning one IP for one player can ban out thousands. The university close to where I live has one external IP address (which is what Riot would see for anyone living on campus) and enrolls 4,000 freshmen annually. Most of the freshmen live on campus, so they'd be prevented from joining the game or continuing to play.
Mac Addresses can be spoofed as well, making them not so reliable for banning an individual.
Boosting services have been switching to using Dynamic Queue as well, having several high ranked players create smurfs and play with the person being boosted. It's entirely fine by Riot's policies, as there's no punishment for creating a smurf, no punishment for playing with new "friends", and no punishment for paying said "friends" to play with you.
This doesn't affect anything. Wrong, it may have negative effect on your ladder.
Your hidden MMR will raise at the same time, but your rank will advance faster and as a result you will get less LP.
Higher MMR + Low rank = More LP Low MMR + High rank = Less LP
Or they could give us Solo Queue. But they don't fucking care
Riot be like "If we want dynamic queue, YOU want dynamic queue"
riot is a fan of blizzard.
You think you want it, but you don`t --- Blizard
Or replays. Or sandbox mode. Or the 1v1 map people used to ask for. Hell, it's season 6 and we're only just now getting /remake.
Yet, instead of delivering these slam dunks - things no player will complain about Riot developing - they go and shove something down our throats and pretend to listen when we say we don't want it.
And tbh it might just be done from ignorance, with all the best intentions... but you know what they say about good intentions.
Don't forget seasonal maps.
You mean like everyone saying they should be able to earn skins, riot implementing crafting, and then everyone complaining about how long it takes to get keys?
LAAAAME do not give riot more gimmick short cuts that do not solve the problem.
LAAAAME do not give riot more gimmick short cuts that do not solve the problem.
I dont think its a short cut. A little banner on your rank banner could have almost as much significance as the banner itself. And it goes a long way toward making them feel like their skill is being rep'd
"Give players who play 75% or more games as solo players a special banner to show the other scrubs that they aren't boosted."
Yeah, that's great. That fixes all of the real, patently observable problems that Dynamic Queue causes!
A picture of a ribbon drawn in photoshop that is now attached to your profile.
....That you unlock with Hextech Crafting, undoubtedly.
1500 Blue essence.
Seems like you just want rewards for playing by yourself so you can keep complaining about dq
That'll take coding and resources I don't think I'd trust rito to do that, nor would they care to do it cus it'll take resources (time and money)
mean who cares if a guy in his basement can do it in 20 minutes? That's too much to ask for
lol what ability, the ability to queue alone?
[{quoted}](name=Tetsu Juan,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=OE0xkd8R,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2016-06-01T03:29:59.712+0000)

idk. might make them feel better. they r angry
let em be angry, dont reward idiots xD

faker is probably not an idiot.
if im an idiot for being able to climb on my own and not needing 4 people to abuse a game mode with me then im fine with it. but since you're silver 3 and u sopposedly abuse dynamic queue and u still cant get out of silver, i cant take the word "idiot" seriously.

Roasted lmao
Id be happy with that.
A change which positively affects Solo players and makes their experience with the game better? Yeah, not gonna happen mate.
What? Look guys, I get that you feel screwed by the removal of Solo Queue being permanent but... are you really saying they should give you a badge for being a solo player?
It would be nice to see Riot give something to solo players since just about everything they've done over the last 6 or so months has pretty much been a giant middle finger to their solo player base.
I'd want mine with "Fuck your legal ELO boosting" on it, thank you.
All I read was: I'M A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE! LOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEE!
Get over it, this game has never been solo-driven; and never will be. They're already moving forward with the queue system, just hope they fix the mmr system next.
The thing is, this type of thing would just be used to make solo players feel better about themselves... and they would use it as some weird social status type of thing somehow.
Like, you would have a bunch of players with the solo banner and one player without it, and, if that player without it did poorly, they would just spam "boosted" etc.
What you're describing sounds like it describes rank in general, tbh.
Actualy, depending on how bad he performs, there is a big chance he's boosted. I wouldnt spam him or anything, but boosting is a reality.
I would like at least a ribbon or something on my loading card.
Something that if for example, if I played the majority of my games without a duo or otherwise premade, and won atleast 60% of those games, then I would get a crest or something on the bottom of the loading screen card showing this.
It could have tiers like mastery level.
Tier one would be for about 30% and would be bronze.
Tier two would be for 40% and would be silver.
Tier three would be for 50% and would be gold.
Tier four would be 60% and would be platinum.
Tier five would be 70% and would be diamond.
You would have to reach each percentage for that season to gain that tier for the crest.
This would help give people something to work towards and would show their skills as a solo player.
I really like this. In combination with a little bit of extra LP gain for solo-only players I'd be much more okay with DQ.
This might actually be a good idea. I don't have any problems with dyanmic queue, but I always play solo anyways because my friends don't want to rank because of stress and I don't want to play normals.
and I always like to put more shiny stuff on my loading screen border.
Lol.
We are going to call it the
medal and it will come with free amumu rank 6 mastery
I feel like this would just be a kick in the teeth for people that are just antisocial and such.
YO, SOLO PLAYER, ARE YOU HAVING FUN GETTING DESTROYED BY PREMADES???
THEN HAVE A BANNER TO NOTIFY YOU'RE SOLO.
i play 100% games as solo player since my first game on this account and i also have 100% games as solo player in my account from s1 to s3 (cant remember e-mail password D: Weellp), do i get solo queue?
i rest my case
Congratulation, you have been promoted to masochist.
I think it's a neat idea. It rewards solo play, which is something that I think is important. After all, if I'm playing with friends, that alone should be a reward. Hanging in a call, joking around and playing a game is a good time. It's the solo players who deserve rewards, if anyone does.
I like the idea. The main benefit of such a badge would not be 'everyone else is boosted' it would be so that other players could look at you and know for sure that you got your rank by playing solo, and so your rank is an accurate description of your personal skill level. Unlike right now where you look at someones rank and have no idea whether they earned that rank solo, or queued as 5 all the the time, or sometimes queued as 3 and the most solo, or whatever other combination of games they've played.
