What's up with the smite mid lane Ezreal?

Never seen it, but if it exists, its prob cause runeglaive makes it so his q can apply luden's echo. Runeglaive is complete ass right now though lmfao i think people are just trying it out cause reddit. Late game it only does like maybe 200 damage while lich bane would be doing like double that along with MS more mana and more ap

Runeglaive is aoe, lichbane is single target. Faster wave clear. Replenishes mana when Qing jungle creep (free mana sustain from chicken camp). Access to challenging smite. Like others said, allows ludens proc.

Gives him a better early/ mid game due to his mana item building out of sheen and allowing him to farm/ push more.
