Do you want to jungle Kha? Are you unsure how to even get it to work? Are you struggling to jungle?

(Warning this is a huge guide/post on Jungling Kha and if you're not interested in reading this is not for you) Khazix You know this fun champion but it seems every time you try him or you see others playing him they suck pretty bad? Well good news is that he is really simple to make use of just requires awareness of the reason behind what he does. No hurr durr amumu q I'm in. You actually need to think ahead to master Kha.

Think about his role before you actually pick it. He doesn't fit a lot of compositions and isn't a good pick vs all compositions either. Assassin junglers are meant to be played with teams that already have heavy front line engage and extended fight duration. If you have a Sion top and a Lissandra mid then you can freely choose Khazix.

Think about the style of game play you are getting into. Remember he is an ASSASSIN. I can not stress this enough for when people want to play him. You have to play like an assassin. You don't go in early, you wait for your chance to pick, and you play safe. He used to be a bruiser for a while but with the shift of changes in his kit he doesn't work too well as a bruiser anymore.

Runes are simple. Ad Marks Ad Quints Flat Armor Seals x5 Flat CDR Glyphs and x4 Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs. (Now if you want to try something different remember we aim for 10% cdr total from runes/masteries for build in general)

Masteries are simple as well. 21-9-0 Required points are Bladed Armor in the defense tree and 4 points in Sorcery in the offense tree. Everything else is up to you.

So what the hell do I build now? This crap keeps changing I'm losing my mind. Don't stress over this too much. His builds are pretty simple they just adjust to the changes on his kit every time. Understand what you need and build according to the need.

Full offense build. You remember when you could one shot wombo combo dunkarino people? You still can.

item 3723 item 3117 item 3074 item 3035 item 3071 item 3508 item 2140

The "I mest up early game so I'm behind" build. Sometimes the game just doesn't go in your favor and you got outplayed. It sucks but you can't go full retard on your build when this happens. You need to adapt and suck it up. Change up your play style to peel over killing. You can still wombo things but it's not as fast or as easy. item 3723 item 3117 item 3074 item 3035 item 3143 item 3102 item 2138

Understanding the build paths of your items and the concept to them. Remember not to mindlessly build and make sure to realize why you are building which items. The first items I'll explain are the extreme core to how Kha is played currently. Kha aims for 40% whenever possible to make maximum use of his kit.

item 3723 is required. Blue sucks always go purple. It speeds up your clear, you have more health/mana, and if that enemy punk jungler tries to mess with you he will regret the day he tried to 1v1 a Kha. This item is your holy power item. It's the cream to your wheat. It's the cheese for your enemies incoming tears. item 3117 I can't even express how powerful this is on Kha. The mobility, the "I'm everywhere suckers", and the freedom to your ultimate gap closing abilities. item 3074 The synergy of hydra and Kha is so amazing. Remember that when you gank a lane to hydra in the air as you wings. It clears the minions with wings and provides isolation instantly. It speeds up your jungler so freakin fast. Which faster jungler = more map pressure and more chances to get kills. item 3035 This is the "F**k yo armor" item. It's pretty obvious on how powerful this is once you have a good amount of ad rolling.

Now onto the other choices. item 3508 So wth is this doing in my build guide? It's pretty simple. Sometimes you are snowballing so hard that you are 20-2-10 one shotting everything in sight. With Black cleaver and all the other items built. You have one last item to go. You want the maximum damage you can get. You have 30% cdr. So it's BT vs ER. Bt offers a shield but you will never build that shield up on Kha. On the other hand ER offers 10% cdr and the other same stats as BT. So ER is the best route to go in this situation. item 2140 If you are killing people a lot and snowballing buy this mid game. It just never runs out lmao. item 3143 So this is a pretty common rush on most other Kha you see play but there is a sad story behind this. It's not good to buy unless you are losing. So... If they building it... They losing :/ item 3102 This item is so underrated in how strong it is in the current meta. It is so strong vs double ap comps and tank engage comps. Sometimes it's best to buy this over Black Cleaver and ER even if you are winning vs double/tripple ap comps just to make it impossible for them to get you. item 3155 This item is very very very situational. Only buy vs double/tripple ap comps. It's not that great after the nerfs to ultimate evolve route. item 3026 Sometimes this is a better last item than ER. Just makes you scary and if you have some risk of getting picked make sure to buy this over ER.

ALRIGHT NOW ALL THE BASICS OUT OF THE WAY ONTO GAMEPLAY!!!!! This is probably the main reason you are here. You want to know how we are making Kha work regardless of the jungle changes and how to make him gank well without getting item 3707 . (That item sucks don't get it remember that Purple > Blue)

Steps for jungling on first clear.

  1. Utilize maximization of isolation damage. He is powerful with isolation. He is reliant on isolation. Kill small mobs in camps first. (Yes you can use Q to clear small ones faster)
  2. Start gromp side whenever possible. You get Isolation Q bonus damage and gromp buff helps your first clear amazingly well.
  3. Make sure to kill the scuttle closest to you right after you take the first camp/buff. You want that sight. ALWAYS WARD YOUR FIRST BUFF ENTRANCE AS YOU GO TO FIRST BUFF. I can not stress this enough. For example, if you are starting blue side krugs, right after you krugs, go to the bush of the entrance near mid and ward that bush before doing buff. This allows you to see enemy jungler if they try to cheese you at level 2.
  4. Do 3 camps and scuttle then b right away. You want to get that purple smite asap. Sometimes you can gank right after second buff but if you can't get purple smite right away.

Onto mechanics and evolve route. Evolve route now is Claws > Wings > Ultimate. Claws is extremely powerful early game on ganks, you can shred enemy junglers, and you can solo dragon with claws/warrior right when you get the item.

When you gank always save wings until they burn mobility or flash. (If they don't have either of those then you can wings right away) Make sure to walk behind, w, and go in for the passive proc. The passive proc early on is core to making the gank work successfully.

Now understand the reason behind evolving Ultimate at level 16 over Spikes. Spikes is shitty now. Takes all your mana and you don't get much out of it. However with ultimate you can go invisible 3 times and with cdr you can q each time you pop out and restealth.

Kha damage rotation is simple. For when you walk up to them. W > Auto Attack > Q to animation cancel Auto attack > Hydra to animation cancel Q and from there you adjust to what happens. When you picking a solo. E/Hydra/Q/Auto attack = dead. Yes that is all it takes most the time.

There is one extra use to evolving R at level 16. GAP CLOSING BABY. Sometimes in the midst of a fight you need to get to that adc or apc. Man I love Kha's ultimate evolve for just this. You just stealth right up to them and bop em. Then you go stealth again and go to the next target or stay on same again if for whatever reason they didn't die there.

Now same with all close range champions. Make sure to move ahead of your target or with them as you attack. Don't sit there and watch your character attack as they trying to run because they might just get away. Stick to them.

And that is a wrap. If there is anything you want to know or have questions on feel free to ask me and I will keep up with this post.

TL:TR There isn't one. This is a guide for those who want to learn how to use Kha currently.

Did you make this post because of The post I made? The one that is titled "Is Kha'zix ever getting buffed?" Because if it is, I think its pretty funny. I guess more attention for our friendly neighborhood bug. (I saw you post about him being OP)

I have been a Khazix main for a short while now and this guide is quite good :P although I sometimes take mercury treads for the cc reduction. Another thing that may be worth mentioning is that the rift scuttler should be killed if you need some health regeneration for clearing camps early on and not just for vision.
