Because I'm looking through these post and so far almost all of them have been players with less than 20 games of Dominion.

But honestly I'm ok with this. Riot lied to the community for so long about making an effort to sustain the mode that I gave up. So I'm glad they finally admitted what they wanted to do this whole time.
It's not about the wins, I care for the Hide and Seek aspect [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]
Many of the people complaining are more about the removal of many fun custom game-modes such as Hide-and-Seek and various others.
Well, wether people played it or not, riot's total neglect of the mode is what pisses most people off.
They may not have played it often, but it doesn't mean they have no love for it.If they like the mode, they like the mode. They may not have played it often, but it doesn't mean they have no love for it.
Some are just being sympathetic and understand why people are complaining.

It's like with literally every rework Riot has done. Sion, Poppy, Gangplank, all those champs had a virtually non-existent playerbase due to the fact that they were extremely shitty (although I personally do miss the fun of GP support).
When all three of their reworks rolled around, suddenly the champions had a playerbase the size of Lee Sin, and everyone was tripping over themselves to comment on how bad the reworks were and how they destroyed champion identity.
Why do you think so many threads like this pop up? Because people get to pat themselves on the back that they made a front page thread by echoing the same whines over and over again.
People are acting like they are Dominion veterans LOL. Some just like to complain.
I don't think you need to own a puppy to criticize someone for killing a puppy.
That being said, the LoL client tells me I have 157 Dominion wins. Does that mean I get to complain if I want, o arbiter of the Internet? :p

Alright, I only ever log-in to play some Crystal Scar anymore, so I suppose I am entitled to complain. And while I could complain all day about how Im pretty much gonna quit the game since my only reason to play is getting taken out, I'm not.
What I am gonna complain about, is that you feel like you have the right to say who and who isn't entitled to the right to complain about something. Don't you think you're being a bit elitist? People who haven't even played a SINGLE match of Dominion can still be mad that other players favorite mode is going to be removed from the game.
Hell, they might not even feel bad, a Twisted Treeline player could just be looking at the situation and thinking "If no one gives a shit about this, what happens when the Riot Overlords noticed my gamemode isn't bringing the mulah and #lcsbigplays?" They're just trying to show Riot people still care about the niche gamemodes, and you can't just remove them when they've decided they outlived their usefulness.
In short, perfectly reasonable for most people to complain about this, stop trying to police people into acting how you want them too.
I would show my dominion wins, but I play dominion customs and do hide and seek, so even if customs counted as wins, I wouldn't have many anyways because at least half or more of my dominion games I surrender in.
I would, but then I'd have to wait the 20 minutes to get into a dominion queue...
In all seriousness, I have ~400 games in dominion. I used to play it all the time, but as the balance shifted downward, I stopped. But I also love hide and seek, and am very sad to see it die.
Can't really take a picture because I've uninstalled the game, but I had a good 500 wins or so in dominion. I played it way more than normals or even ranked.
But you know what? I'm not complaining. Riot has the right to delete everything I might enjoy about their game. I have the right to not have touched the game for the last several months.

I personally had 35 wins only because my boyfriend enjoys the game mode (he has 300- I checked as soon as I saw the announcement to see if he qualified for the icon). I played Dominion when he asked, but only when he did.
That said, I think it's bullshit they're removing it because 'it takes too many resources'. Can you imagine if a popular MMO removed an old raid because of 'requires too many resources'?
I may have never played much Dominion myself, and I'm not incredibly devastated over it, but it's mostly the principle I think that's upsetting people.
Dominion has been sitting nearly untouched for a long time with very little support. It's been rotting away while Riot briefly mentioned 'possibly' giving it a ranked mode and bringing its popularity back. Yet, that never happened, and Dominion was left swamped with bots and long que times. It's a starved mode that's now being taken out back to be put out of its misery.
Yeah, I get why they're deleting it, but that doesn't really settle well with people when Riot was shoeing around empty promises of giving Dominion some love, then deciding to just throw it away. It's just sad to see more options in the game being taken out so they can focus even more on the almighty Summoners Rift; it starts to feel stagnating.
im sad that theyre removing the game mode because its the mode my baby brother likes to play but i feel like an easy permanent solution would be to shuffle all of the special game modes like they do with the free to play champ rotations. like one week there would be dominion, the next would be urf, the next week would be hexakill TT, ect and i feel like it would solve a lot of the problems that are arising. Its just an idea but any thoughts?
