RoA or Rylai on Karthus?
Both of this items seems great on karthus as a first item, but I really don't know which one is the best. Can you guys help me?

The rule of thumb is 1st item: utility 2nd item: burst 3rd item: penetration
Karthus is one of those champs that make you want to buy all of the utility items in the game. The problem with rylailis is that it requires you to "stick" to your enemy in order to take full advantage of it. You can't stick to anyone without exhausting all of your mana.
Now I ask, what utility is RoA bringing besides raw mana and hp? It's a great item no doubt, but I would rather invest in tear and save money for Rabadons. My build path is tear > large rod > rabadons > sorc boots > Seraphs > void staff. By the time seraph is complete your ult guarantees 50% hp in damage to the enemy carry.
Search plun, kirito kamui, azingy, trisexual, or any master+ karthus players in op.gg. See something in common? That's right, rylai's scepter.
RoA & Archangel's Staff > Seraph's Embrace
Actually, first item you want is Tear. Build that, then catalyst next.

Tear -> Rylias
Honestly, for me I'd say RoA, since (in my opinion) you should be stacking Tear anyway at this point. (either first or 2nd item). I understand why Rylais would be good for the passive it has but RoA needs time to passive stack its ap (plus RoA can give more survivability during the laneing phase anyway), so in my opinion RoA over Rylai first. (Unless you want to be super aggressive in lane which you could benifit more from the slow)
I would say grab the roa first. Pick the rylais up later because its still a great item, but oas combination of stats will help you out more. The benefits of those stats also make you stronger faster than rylais will.
I always go for a RoA and a Tear. Stacking all that Mana.
