This season's balance is the worst BY FAR

DropFill··303 votes·9,545 views

Never seen such a frustrating season to be played before. Terrible idea of 3-4-5 man premade on ranked. Extremely unbalanced champions for ages. Terribad changes to adc's like Quinn and Graves that are extremely OP. Addition of a item that only works on champions that have extremely bad balance state ( Talon and Zed ). Still lack of bans, even though we have 129 champions and ONLY 6 bans. ( This is not even 5% of the champion pool). Lack of AP niche items. Balance ONLY on AD items. Lack of nerfs on AD items because reasons. Thunderlord being one of the most retarded spells ever made. It adds a unecessary amount of burst to some champions. And the list goes on.

i love how riot had to buff XinZhao (who has fine) now if he maxes w he does stupid amounts of damage. the balance seems to have gone down hill since the juggernauts.

Riot thinks 3 hit abilties are healthy and have counterplay. They seem to forgot that they are tied to basic attacks that can't be dodged.

HandheldBrandon20 votes

As long as they aren't on a ranged champ they can be kited though.

three hit abilities are useless if you can't hit the enemy.

Yeah, shame Xin Zhao is one of the stickiest champions in the game.

Twitch, the only balanced marksman/assassin. Can't even turn invisible if he isn't hit in the last 3 seconds.

Twitch is pretty powerful right now.

If you want weak or a mess of a champion, look at Kog Maw or urgot.

Kog'maw rapes anything and anyone with just a Guinsoo's. He isn't weak, by a long shot.

Vore Monster3 votes

Kog isn't weak, he's a bit of a monstrosity of a champion. He's VERY feast or famine, and relies on two items. His scaling is an off base AP hybrid and has the weakest early game out of most marksman right now.

HandheldBrandon5 votes

As long as you got someone with Decent CC hes easy enough to peel off of a carry. Alistar Nami are 2 really good peelers and Janna is a nightmare for champs like XinZhao .

forresto3 votes

you can peel him, but late game the question becomes can you peel fast enough to stop him from killing someone?

Unstoppable Monk5 votes

Stop making sense. Stop it.

That's like saying everything in season 6 is strong and people just need to learn how to play this new season instead of complaining.

HandheldBrandon3 votes

I know right?

I mean who needs knowledge and understanding anyways?

Unstoppable Monk1 votes

Yeah that's right! You can just spam full offensive FOTM main and blame your team for feeding the 3 kill 7 death assassin mid. Because defense building is for tanks!

HandheldBrandon2 votes

Seriously defensive items are so overrated.

Who needs armor when you can kill them faster.

He was actually just short of being viable (compared to the rest of the current meta champ pool). People have said that the bonus AD ratio on the heal was all it would take, but alas.

If a LoL season is released in the middle of the forest without people around to see it, it will still be regarded as the worst season so far?

Season 3, 4 and 5 all had rough, horrible, disgusting starts. There is a pattern and this one follows it. It feels like It's worse because this time things we already hate are strong (Zed, Assasins, ADCs, Vayne, snowballs) and It just feels Riot is dedicated with fucking up this year (Dominion, buffing Zed, releasing an item FOR ZED, forcing games to be short and snowbally)

GOD DAMN I miss Cinderhulk meta.

It was the best meta, where you had to actually think about your team composition and stuff. Today you fucking lock in zed any day if you can

Reynard the ƒox2 votes

Forgive me if I sound jaded, but the reason we say 'this season worst balance', is because each season gets progressively worse.

I know people are reluctant to embrace change, but we've been going on the season changes for two months and rather than fixing the problems we've seen, Riot has made even more balancing fumbles. It's a sad trend. In Season 5 I yearned for Season 4, but I'd take the ridiculously messy meta we had at Worlds 2015 any day over what he have now.

Are we ready to admit League isn't going in the right direction yet Riot? Or are you too busy jerking off to your handiwork to bother caring?

They can't. They have that superiority disorder, don't know how to say. But they seem to think they are always right, and take way too much time to actually see they messed up

Well, not the worst actually. If anybody remembers League of Warmogs or League of Cleavers, they would agree with me.

When literally every champion builds 6 of the same item every game, that's when you can say the game is legitimately broken.

does anyone else miss the tank meta? now everyone feels like cardboard, and the average tank has maybe a 2 second lifespan in big fights

Melee champs with too many gap closers and CC, Ranged champs with waaaaay too much damage. Definitely Ghostcrawler's work.

Maybe it has to do with Tencent, since as of preseason Riot sold all of their equity to them. http://www.polygon.com/2015/12/16/10326320/riot-games-now-owned-entirely-by-tencent "Major changes are coming to League of Legends in 2016,"

I've heard that Tencent also has a reputation for buying out games and trashing them with things like crafting systems.

"Crafting systems"?

Like Hextech crafting about to come?

People still don't notice most of the mind control factors bound to this game yet, even when they know about tencent little social experiment on china

much like supports if ads can go to multiple lanes it breaks the balance pretty fucking hard

DarkRitual15 votes

Sona and Janna are viable outside of support? NERF! Graves and Quinn are viable in three roles? Not a problem.

Quort2 votes

I believe its because Supports are designed to work efficiently on a lower gold income that using them in a solo lane makes them overbearing. Their tendency to also have strong disengage and defensive capabilities means they're used more often than not to stagnate lanes and deny snowball reliant Champions. I think it should be a viable option, but it does lead to rather boring and uninteractive games which is less than ideal.

Kynami6 votes

Sona? Strong defense? Strong disengage?

Yeah... about that. She has zero on-demand CC until 6th, and even then it has a stupidly long cooldown. Stupidly flimsy too, you practically have to run a pile of HP from mastery and runes just to avoid getting 3-shot in lane.

And don't even bother mentioning the heal and shield. Its almost pointless in a duo-lane. It is pointless in a solo one though. That rework considerably hurt her build options too.

Lol just curious, how is Quinn op? Her ult grants her superior mobility, however in a team fight or a 1 v 1 duel it does nothing for her, whereas other adc's will have a high damage nuke that benefits them for an ult.

HaugheyPuck997 votes

It's because they changed her harrier passive. It used to be pretty random but now it's a heck of a lot more reliable, especially since her Q applies it and has a super oppressive vision reduction mechanic to it (seriously, I'd rather it just stun me than that stupid blind because I'm useless during it either way), so she can proc her harrier 2-3 times per engage on someone

You can't fight Quinn in a 1v1 and expect to win.

You're forced to wait for a gank to kill her, and of course, It's not a 100% kill chance. She isn't THAT strong, she is just incredibly frustrating to play against. It feels abusive and the stupid noise spam she permanently makes are obnoxious
