I'm sure many players already know this but when you hit a target with Q you should auto attack once then immediately reset auto attack pressing W and E at the same.
this utilizes the full duration of each cc from stun-passive-slow and maximizes the damage output.

thats why u press w and e at the same time so even if the snare wares off(until it scales later game), the slow from e will keep your target in range for the 2nd auto attack.
his attack speed is slow but his range is 175, 50 more then most melee champs.
I personally run 3 attack speed quints on him with great results.
