As a support main who recently started trying out more Midlaners/Junglers, I must say I have started to realize this is super easy to do by accident.
Twice within the past 2 days even I have insta-cleared the wave only to realize that my Leona or Braum was standing right beside me waiting for the cs to reach them and then they walk away all dejected.
I wish there was some sort of ping that could be associated with the item to make it more clear what you want.
To the people who wombo minions from 100-0 when Im right next to them with 4 stacks of Spoils of War
If the ADC (as is usually the case) keeps doing that - despite at least 3 pings on the item and/or friendly reminders - even after getting to full build, as the game goes on, would it be rude to "accidentally" stay just out of range for the Face of the Mountain active when shit happens...?
You have
or
with Zyra? XD
Midlaner does it? Sucks but meh, maaaybe they don't know or aren't used to the interaction. Adc does it? FUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!
I am guilty of this. I shall repay my crime with a completely unrelated funny video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QaeZRG4k6w&ab_channel=JustonBibero
Playing
, I see the support walking out of the jungle with stacks of spoils of war so I only deathray the casters so they can proc the melees, and they just walk past and ignore the minions. Guess they ruined it for everyone, now I just deathray the whole wave unless they have been actively pushing with me.
Have felt this far too many times.
Also, if I'm playing
, it's mid-late game and I'm below full hp... and they won't let me stack OR lifesteal while we're grouped. Feelsbad.
That's 80% of players on my team. The other 20% is me.
When you tell someone to not clear the wave since u got coin or something, and the next thing you know, poof, there goes the minion wave
Ok people check it out, I have found a certain niche that doesn't screw up the meta and allows bot to win the games in adverse conditions..ie the jg and mid fed 20 kills before 20 minutes... As a support always take a champ with hard cc but build for attack damage, take the spellthief to start... assuming your adc is down with the lane play.. As an adc, you start by poking champs and letting sup take the first 2 wave.. and start by building tanky and go for a dps build, that way your support can get a damage item or 2 to help zoning the enemy... allowing the ADC to farm more efficiently while nurfing the enemy teams farm... As an example focus on a bot duo of Tahm and Urgot, Urgot farms cs, while Tahm farms the enemy champ, take w first with urgot, and q first with tahm, let tahm farm till level 3 while urgot uses his shield and slow to zone making sure the enemy has a hard time farming, this will not only nurf but confuse the enemy. And since urgot will have no issues farming and can sustain is bot lane for a minute with just a dorians shield. In this scenario you want to build tahm as an ap dps health tank so he can take out turrets while your tanky Urgot that has focus on burst damage, and has the trinity force, bloodthirster, and wit's end... along with some armor or mr items take the turret shots so you dont need your own minion waves to take towers... assuming your team doesnt ff you should win all lanes easily with bery little opposition..
this is just 1 example of a bot lane duo..outside of the traditional meta that works

Sometimes it's just unavoidable.
When I get anyhow fed as a mid laner, more often than not I can OHK whole minion wave with one spell, if they clump up.
I was expecting the words " Its my money and I need it now!"
This crap is why I'm sorely tempted to get the coin instead. Low health canon minion, I'm about to kill it and...pew the ADC kills it. Full stack of spoils, a line of low health minions and pew midlaner clears it.
Thanks for gold starving me even more you douchebag. Whoops! Looks like I forgot to stun that diving Lucian and you died. Whoops! Didn't mean to secure that kill when you clearly could have gotten it. Whoops! Didn't mean to headbutt the enemy to safety. Whoops! Didn't mean to point my Braum shield in the wrong direction.
If your support is carrying stacks of spoils, be nice and let them kill minions. It's our only real source of gold. Otherwise, don't be too surprised when your support mysteriously seems to be "bad". >:)
I have noticed this as well at times, but usually it is best to communicate beforehand in public matches as some players are not aware the item even exists.
as a note, the effectiveness of pushing can vary, but the support can also target the full health back line of minions or get the tougher ones out of the way such as melee and siege minions
the problem does come later though when looking for gold and the carries clear the entire wave before you can hit any of them XD
Or when you're about to do a massive waveclear combo with E>E>Q on ryze and someone kills the minion that your E is on
I've had this happen to me a lot. And it is quite annoying.
LMFAO
