How do you even touch a Riven?

So, basically, the title. Every single game I go into where there's a good Riven, she just absolutely stomps my entire team, myself included, no matter how many of us focus her, no matter how much we CC her, no matter how much we do anything. Even building armor isn't effective, as she just cuts down a super tank like Singed as if he were made of paper.

How do you play against a good Riven? And don't tell me to build armor or stunlock her, because that's not counterplay, that's just dodging the issue. In what ways can you -actually- counterplay her? Can she even be counterplayed?

Are we really, seriously, back to QQing about Riven, who is actually in a decent spot at the moment with juggernauts running rampant?

well im no expert at the matchup but I know you have to play around her cooldowns typically so if she uses all qs or wastes shield that mite be a time to go in... also in my experience singed does better with ap than tank items intially (roa tear ryalis etc). you could also try something that has alot of ranged harrass.(kayle kennen)

also be careful of her lvl 2 and 6 cheeses try to stay near full health around these times

She's not going to shred your team up, if you farm up in lane and build tanky. Shen for example can out sustain riven and just get tankier and tankier. Ultimately you're going to beat her in teamfights, because she has no real way of getting into the middle of a fight where she does damage.

Counterplay for riven? Pick jax. Get ganks and shut her down. A behind riven is a useless riven.

Vision control for when she roams.(for when she does that flash + q from the fog of war).
Knock ups and silences.

I usually start by handcuff ing her to the bed and placing a ball gag in her mouth
