Tips against Irelia

I've had a ton of matchups against Irelia recently. I main and honestly I've won every single game and 2 out of 3 times I wreck her in lane. Still I feel like that only happens because the irelia I'm playing against is unskilled. Not bad, but certainly not an irelia main. So I want to know what her universal weaknesses are that I can capitalize on them in that matchup. When are her powerspikes? That sort of thing.

I know there's going to be the usual "she has no weaknesses", "irelia op" shit, but hopefully there will be some meaningful feedback. Currently I'm trying to find the right rune set up to trade with her pre 6.

I'm an irelia main, but I'm a low elo scrub. But I have a good knowledge of Irelia.

One reason I m still in low elo, I do bad mistakes sometimes when I try to hard to carry and end up dying when I shouldnt have to. Anyway.

As Shen, care for Irelia's level 1 cause she will outtrade you with her stun. But I 'm pretty sure you have a lead for level 2,3.

At level 4, any good irelia will take her W for true damage and will start to get advantage on you. There will be a point where irelia cannt kill you too much. So either you wait for a gank or you focus on farming and using your ult at 6.

Plus beware to not get all in as her Lvl 6 is defilenitely more dangerous than yours. If she gets to lvl 6 before you and you stayed close, you are dead.

As for Irelia power spike, her getting a Sheen ( trinity force ) is defenitely her power spike l. Dont even try to fight an irelia around 15 minutes its pointless. I can't count how many times i get gank top and end up getting a double kill.

Irelia + trinity is probably the biggest power spike in the game. Trinity is like THE ITEM MEANT FOR IRELIA.

Recently I'm always building a second dps item and it tends to help more . So as versus shen versus irelia, i would either try to do a lot of dmg and zone her out during your level 2-3 or play passive farm and watch minimap to ult or TP

sheen won't do anything against shen because irelia has to make extended trades against him which means you want the extra AD and passive from phage to stick to your target.

shen doesn't have to be too scared of irelia's 6, her sheen or her trinity force since he rushes sunfire which gives him armour to deal with her basic attacks, health to deal with the true damage and a pulsing damage aura, plus he can just dash to escape every time she wants to go all in. like I said, irelia needs to make two or three extended trades against a shen to kill them which means the kill will be extremely choreographed and if you're that worried you can honestly just base and TP back to lane since you'll have your ult if you need to make a play elsewhere.

if irelia for whatever reason maxes stun then she does zero damage to you and you can basically just ignore her.

Yeah ofc you go phage first whenever you max W but i was sayig her real power spike was with sheen and trinity. But at 6, i didnt mention but i thought it was obvious ofc irelia wont kill shen if you both full health but at 6 both player should usually be close to low health. I probably misread the powerspike question though my B :$

you can go E max and go phage first too. if you're against a squishy who will be trying to disengage you want to stick to them.

it's also doubtful shen will be low health at 6 since he heals off of his q and has a shield.

Yeah youre right on you want to max e against squishy ennemies but for phage it depends on your first back money. If you dont have 1200 you will get phage components, so you ll probably finish phage first unless you go back with 1765.

But against squishy , you always max E and sheen first priority. Cause with a squishy , your E max plus the burst of a shenn will kill them anyway.IMO
