Riot here's the real issue with removing Dominion
First of all I want to make it very clear, I don't play dominion and I didn't use teambuilder either. In this regard I am the prototypical league player. I certainly believe that there are plenty of valid reasons for both of them to be removed. What I take issue with is the lack of communication that these things were being overlooked or a lack of clarity on RIOT's perspective on these aspects of the game.
League of Legends is a community and frankly we need to do what is best for the community. That will never be an invalid argument. But when things are being considered whether to be added or to be removed the community should be made aware well before a decision has been reached. We should not have to read between the lines about RIOT's perspective and their goals. Because as a community we should have the opportunity to offer proactive and constructive feedback rather than being relegated to reactionary (and therefore less thought out) feedback. By relegating all of us to that reactive perspective you are encouraging the more petulant and juvenile arguments to dominate the boards and overall to misrepresent the maturity of the community.
Worse after the removal of both game mods with such short notice, how can we trust that you won't do it again? I saw a Rioter admit that that the removal of dominion was mishandled on a communication level, but admitting that you made a mistake and taking steps to prevent future mistakes are not the same thing. We need to see a commitment to be more transparent and to be more forthcoming with information.
