AP Version of SightStone?

A problem i have always had with sightstone is that it it is skewed in favor of tank supports over AP supports despite it being a rush on supports,

The item is really un-optimal for AP supports as they don't benefit nearly as much from HP as the Tank supports do. It just feels really un-optimal sitting on an HP item for the wards alone when Tank supports actually appreciate the extra bulk it gives them. I was thinking maybe they could make either make an AP version of sightstone, adjust sightstone to include AP, or make sightstone build into somethign other than Ruby Sightstone that gives AP.

Could they maybe do somethign like this item 2049 +100 HP +10 AP

Builds into either : item 2045 (unchanged) OR **Sapphire SightStone ** +40 AP Builds out of item 2049 + item 1052

Just wondering how AP support doesn't benefit from 100 hp.

They usually don't scale life as well as others and could probably use it. To me it's the difference of the one auto attack or skill that could kill you and you being saved.

You have this item 3303 for extra AP from start. Tank supports usually grab item 3302 item 3069 If you want regen and cooldowns.

Usually i get boots right after sightstone and then build what i need to benefit me/team.

I know it's all a matter of preference, but in reality, all support benefit from 100 hp.
