Viktor help (builds and match ups)

Hello, I decided to try Viktor when he was free (Way back when he got disabled due to a bug) and thoroughly enjoyed playing him. I don't have as much time to play these days but I try to play Viktor whenever I can, even if it's just a custom game.

The puzzling thing about Viktor is that he has so many build options that are good, but I don't know which one is the most efficient. For example, some people (me included) like to rush hexcore to upgrade E and Morello's for cdr but other people argue Luden's is a stronger option. Then you have people like Easyhoon and Faker who rush Lichbane (If you haven't seen Faker's Viktor then let's just say he has been absolutely unstoppable on him) though many friend and other pro's say Lichbane is not the best item to rush on Viktor.

Also, is Lucidity boots over sorc shoes better on Viktor? Sometimes I think Void Staff/Abyssal is enough mag pen and the extra cooldown would give you more damage over all.

Lastly, What are Viktors Weakest match ups? Which are his strongest? Which are more skill based.

use pro builds and look at the matchup . viktor is bad against assassins and is good at team fighting from range since his spells do alot of damage. Things like ludens arent as good as death cap on viktor but it can be a good item if you are fed to roam. Your best bet is doing what you already do upgrade e ,item 3020 , item 3165 item 3089 item 3135 item 3157 item 3197 or sometimesitem 3001

I mained Viktor for all of season 4, the old viktor and the current one. You need to figure out what you want to use him for. I, for example, prosper when I can use my e to instant clear waves and make my enemy useless. This draws as much attention as i can get, so I can bait people to get trapped in a w>r>e combo. So I always prioritize my laser over anything. My build is rushing item 3198 then getting a item 3089 . this gets me a late game level of power in around 25 mins. I build from there depending on my situation, usually going for things like item 3116 and item 3151 . I haven't played him too much recently though, so i will try out as many builds as i can think of and see what's strongest. Most matchups can be won with skill, the hardest being things like lux or xerath, who out range you and can't be poked down easily unless you get a level lead early and can aggro them out of lane. For assassins, if you can't poke them down, just save your w and they will most likely get caught and bursted by a r>e combo.
