Adcs have an easier time getting to 40% cdr than mages

There's a lot of... abusable things this preseason like keystones and etc, but I think the new Essence Reaver is just too good.

It honestly offers too many stats for it's cost when you factor in the free cdr you get from crit.

Yes, Essence Reaver was an awful item before that needed to be reworked but now it's good to the point of being overloaded.

You're wrong, adc leblanc has been stronger than ever now.

I think Mages should get a third 20% CDR item with more offensive and less defensive or niche stats. Currently all they have is Athene's and Morellonomicon. Nashor's is an option as well but it's more of a niche item for auto-attack-based AP champions.

Maybe they can add 20% CDR to Abyssal Scepter? Throw Fiendish Codex into the build path, buff the AP it gives to +80, maybe lower the MR it gives if it becomes too efficient for AP tanks. This would put it about on the level of at least Black Cleaver, giving useful offensive stats and effects while also giving useful defensive stats. This would probably bump its price up to about 3150, but that'd still be cheaper than BC by 350 gold.

ADCs get crit with almost everything ADCs get a fuck ton of AD (or magic procing damage) with everything ADCs get a ton of attack speed with most things ADCs get a fuck ton of CDR from most things ADCs get a fuck ton of Movement speed from most things

This is a problem. It's like a ball of free stats on every item they build. They don't even have to selectively choose what they want anymore.

To the guys who see you can buy item 3165 + item 3174 to get 40% CDR at a not too high of a price... well, you are right about that. However, the real problem is another one, in my opinion, and i will point it out clearly: An ADC buys item 3508 and then get a lot of CDR simply buying other items that are optimal and he would want anyway. On the other hand, an AP champion can surely buy item 3165 + item 3174, BUT doing so it's not optimal, because you are spending gold to get more mana reg than you want, and giving up AP, which means damage, to get that 40% CDR. You can also go for other items, like item 3158 , which is very good, by the way. But then you are giving up on the 15 Magic penetration from item 3020 . Every choice AP mages can do to get more than 20% force them to give up on something. That's not wrong, really. It's just that people get annoyed by the fact that on the other hand an ADC can get extra CDR while buying items that he would want anyway because they are optimal.

TL,DR: the problem is not about being able to reach high CDR: what peope are getting annoyed by is the fact that AP champions need to give up on some usefull stats to get more than 20% CDR (like more AP if you get morello + athene, or magic penetration if you get lucidity), while ADCs have an item that let them have a lot of CDR while buying optimal items, thus not giving up on anything, really.

That's because mages no longer have mana to use 40% CDR. #rekt

Gorgannan11/17/2015, 4:58:53 AM5 votes

Just give it the old lifesteal mechanic for mana, and make it provide no crit :P

Lady Hammerlock11/17/2015, 9:00:42 AM5 votes

you know whats worse? the logic people who hit other people need more cdr then mages ;-;

GenghisEmo11/17/2015, 3:19:15 AM3 votes

Now it is pretty much te rush 1st item on most ADCs it seems. But it isnt he only OP item.

Uhm, is anyone going to talk about how ADC's lose out on DPS if they use abilities eventually? Even if it's quicker for them to get, it's going to become a semi-useless stat on anything that isn't an escape or initiate.

TBH I don't think the CDR should be removed, it's a nice item, but the crit should be taken off. Why not put it back to how it was before but just a little weaker?

70 AD 10% Life Steal 10% CDR Passive for additional 20% CDR based on Crit. Passive for Mana
