Little Trick with Deadman's Plate

item 3742 gives momentum which discharges and increases the damage of your next auto attack. Every step you take gives you charges so taking a step between each basic attack will increase your damage output. Granted it won't be a lot but it will add 5 or so damage to each auto if you do this. Instead of standing still while attacking tower or dragon try taking a step with each attack. And if someone, for some inexplicable reason, tries to duel you standing still doing this will give you a little edge.

That's an excellent point, I always got in the habit of moving around while beating on towers just so I'm not painting an aim skillshot here bullseye on my head, but I see a lot of people that practically grow roots while chipping down towers.

Doesn't this sound like statikk shiv...or luden's echo?? It seems like the same idea.

Another fun trick to Dead Man's Plate is that it works extremely well as a stand-alone defensive item on squishy immobile casters who don't AA except to try and finish something off.

If I'm getting really behind to a Zed, Yasuo, Yi, Riven, etc. or having problems getting caught out/picked by a hyper-mobile team, I will occasionally build it just to avoid getting deleted first in team fights.

But here's the thing. If you're 100% spell-based, the item is just basically item 3009 built into a defensive item. If you're playing a sustain/pen mage who already relies on a item 3151 item 3116 combo for damage, then a permanent +60 MS along with health and armor is extremely effective in-game (much more than on paper).

Think Zyra Malzahar Vladimir

If you're already fine on damage, then it's also fun on Syndra as a last item.
