I hate when my teammates talk shit after a win

Go the whole match thinking your teammates are awesome. They make calls, they listen to calls, they roam and ward and play really well... and then they either bash the enemy team calling them trash or spam 'ggez'. It is pretty disappointing. My opinion of them goes from "Man, I hope to get more teammates like that" to "Oh... turns out you are assholes. Cool."

It is not that hard to win and not be a dick about it. I have been doing it for 5 fucking years.

I rarely, if ever, talk in a game. I believe it leaves a better impression on my fellow summoners without a word spoken; it wasn't personal, just part of the game.

Puns are an exception, especially when they pun back. I was baited by a Panda Annie and said I was bamboozled. Enemy Veigar killed me, then died to a siege minion he said was "fired up."

I remember going to international MTG tournaments back in the day and having foreign players come up to me asking why all the Americans were so rude. As a member of the USAF it was one of the few moments in my life where I was ashamed of my country.

I doubt it's not an international thing at this point but that doesn't really make it right either does it?

My best friend lives in scotland and even he says EU is the worst gaming community he deals with on a monthly basis.

These imaginary stories of People harass other people that are foriegn are just that. The majority of the american population are immigrants and people who have moved from another country /grandparents did. Lol.

There is no such thing as an "american" There's just a USA citizen. Nothing more. Why would people pick on other non USA citizens when their own family was just that at some point? Makes no sense.

Trash Talk - "Ooooh get owned" and/or "better luck next time ;)" Outright flaming/bad sportsmanship -- "GG EZ you were terrible" and/or "expletive etc etc."

There's a pretty significant difference, and I think people lose sight of that line between relatively light-hearted trash talk and being an ass.

That's pretty much the same thing. It doesn't matter if it is trash talk or flaming. (also trashtalking IS bad spotsmanship) Someone will probably be oversensitive and report you for whatever you say, call you toxic, and white knight to victory.

Trash Talking with the enemy isn't bad sportsmanship, it's natural. It happens all the time in any sport, in real life. Trash talking does not equal disrespecting an opponent. "Oh man, nice flash, nearly got it :P" <- Trash Talking "lol fucking scrub failed flash" <- Insulting The first is banter/trash talking and I often had people adding me after the game because we both trash talked and teased one another.

You see, that's not what I did. What I did was post a sarcastic comment that is equivalent to trash talk. Same way as "Not even close" can be used for "Oh man, nice flash, nearly got it :P" is sarcastic towards an opponent that could've flopped flash by a ridiculous margin.

This is just a difference in players. You have the more fanatic players and the players who dont care about winning or losing. I love winning; especially the longlasting games. And im one of those players you know, but I only talk when there are players on the enemy team who've been taunting me in laning phase or saying stupid shit in all chat.

I talk trash, but not like ggez trash, i do it usually in jest in an attempt to amuse both teams, take my last game as an example

-team fight just went down, enemy riven dived me and ended up dying because of it, but got the kill on me

What's worse is when your friend is doing really really bad and you wind up winning only to have them trash talk the team. And you sit there staring at the report button at the end of the game having a very complex internal dialogue asking yourself if you should report them or just call them an idiot.

(btw I report my friends if they're assholes to other people.) I wont stop being their friend but I can call them out on their bullshit.

Nope. I am a dick when it is appropriate. Like when someone is harassing someone for no reason. Or when someone is intentionally trolling. Or when someone pisses me off in the real world. There are plenty of appropriate times to be a dick. After a win to boost your own ego and belittle someone who just lost is not that time.
