Luden's or liandry's on zyra?

luden's echo/liandry's torment

-luden's echo: aside from the massive amount of ap(120), it gives 7% movement speed which really helps immobile zyra, and it does extra aoe damage on spell hit when fully charged.

-liandry's torment: it gives a moderate 50 ap coupled with 15 spell pen and 300 health, and it's passive deals % health damage which is handy against the tank meta.

assuming the enemy team has at least 2 tanks, which of these items would be the preferred choice on zyra?

p.s. if luden's, should It be purchased before or after deathcap/void staff?

Luden's has to be your number 1 or 2 rush item, since it is strongest early-mid game. Liandry's is a mid-late game item, and getting an early haunting guise and sitting on it can be excellent.

EDIT: Unless they stack a lot of MR against you, you can get Liandry's instead of Void staff because the flat pen+burn deals a good amount of damage since you are a more DoT style caster.

Liandry's burn damage is reduced by magic resist because it is magical damage. You need to pair it with void staff or it is very ineffective.

that's why I said the flat pen is good enough if they don't stack MR.

Base magic resist and runes are a thing. You don't need to build magic resist for void staff to be gold efficient late game.

Not to mention most carries end up building athenes/QSS/banshees/GA at some point in the game and most tanks end up with merc treads at the very least.

Sorc shoes and Liandry's brings you to 0 MR for almost all squishies if they don't have any MR items, and penetration stops at 0, meaning 35% penetration from void staff is actually too gold efficient, to the point of being overkill.

How does saying that they do sometimes build MR do anything to negate my argument? If they don't build MR, Liandry's is still the better choice, and if they do build MR, then I said to get void staff anyway.

Hm... I say ditch the DCap and get both against heavy tank teams. In general tho, Athenes/Morello>Shoes>Zhonyas>Ludens>Void>DCap. The MS boost is too good to pass up with everything else it has, plus the seeds can really help charge it back up if you combo right.

Either get Luden's early on if you're snowballing or want to pressure the enemy ultra hard or you can get Liandry's which is extremely effective against this tank meta at any other stage of the game, because Luden's is a must early to mid game, while Liandry's can work from mid to late.
