Nashors tooth on Azir is a great item and very very gold efficient.

Try to argue with me.

60 ap. 20%cdr (+25% attack speed) 50% attack speed

All in all, a champion who solely based off auto attacks DOES benefit from attack speed, and in this case CDR as well. 60Ap is also among the greater benefits from the item. Your other choices for cdr / ap would be a morellonomicon which has just been nerfed into butthole.

So tell me bronzie forum-goers, why is nashors bad on azir? Nashors is already 117.74% gold effecient (WITHOUT ITS PASSIVE) is now 25% more efficient with azirs passive.

School me.

Just want to be clear: You are saying it is good on Azir even without the passive of applying AP on basic attacks? Just want to have that clarified directly.

You are saying it's gold effecient without it's passive, yet what about with its passive? It's still much better to go morello's because of the mana regen, RoA is not the greatest item to be getting on Azir. Actually what I've been seeing high elo players do is getting the Stinger only and actually just sitting on that and get other items first.

ill tell you why its a noob trap item

your enemy will NEVER remain in range of your soldiers AA for more than one or two AA , if they do you are playing with downright horrible players that cant understand the basic principle of don't stand on the fire

so all that attack speed? usless for the most part, id rather get the same CDR, some mana regen wich azir needs, and more ap to take advantage of his excellent ap ratios , than get one more AA in after I reposition soldiers, you want more ap so your Q with 3 soldiers out hit slike a truck, then one AA from each soldier instantly , your attack speed does not matter in that scenario , making the entire attack speed stat on the item pretty much wasted on practical game terms

unless your team is stacking slows, ap >cdr>AS is the stat priority , mana regen is pretty much a given for any mana user right now , u need to forget about seeing Azir as a champ "solely based of autoatacks" because in practice , that's where the least amount of his dps comes from if you think about it...excellent if you are laning with someone with long snares though, like swain or morgana , then you can get a few aa in if you guys are in sync

just tried out the build in a normal game: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/50523218 anyway, it was pretty fun, i think i would have snowballed more effectively with a different build. when ahead though, that build is super effective and quite safe. when behind it seems really risky.

  • W doesn't proc Nashor's passive.
  • Unlike an actual ADC, he has no sustain. Doubt you'll be staying to AA that long til you get your ass bursted by bs assassins.
  • Most Ap mainers prefers higher AP than having AA clarity, as in mid laners tend to build stuff that can burst down enemy champs as well, instead of having to purchase items that makes his attacks look pretty with such low power profit.

where are all the azir pros?

My current favorite build on Azir -

item 1076 x2 item 3165 Rush item 3020 2nd item item 3101 3rd item - leave as is and upgrade to Nashor's tooth last item.

If you take 5% CDR runes and 5% CDR masteries, this is probably the cheapest way to get max CDR (+ some much needed attack speed), while still getting a good amount of AP and magic pen. Probably the best mid-game power-spike build on Azir.
