Poke/kill lane>passive traditional lane

Adc's who just want safe passive farm for 15-20 minutes are robbing the support the opportunity to get you both fed...

Thats the only way support can get a respectable income in this game, and they are one fifth of the team with the same potential as all.

When your in the late game having a decent built support is super helpful, especially the kill/poke supports who are the star initiators, not to mention its another human being that can potentially carry if other people are struggling/getting instapicked.

So Adc's, please take the supports lead, they are meant to be the stronger presence early game.

And supports well, if you insist on playing your traditional support try playing and building more aggressively, and get your ass fed.
