@Any Rioter,When it comes to game balance/visuals/lore...Does Riot care about all champs equally?

What makes a champion more priority than others to shift all of your focus on them? is it only Pro-play picks that you regularly try to keep in balance since they are more picked and mechanically relevant to game standards, or is it seasonal based shift in meta that you always try to enforce on players just for change?

I need someone to give me a good reason why Wukong is not getting anything at all [spare me your lines about patience and him being worked on right now, its been 5+years plus], while someone like Aatrox for example is getting mini-reworks [or at least worked on] every few weeks/months?

I'm glad I quit the game, though a simple discussion could give me more reason to understand Rioters point of view.

Well, for starters, Wukong's kit isn't inherent unhealthy, and it's got plenty of points where it can be modified to balance him out. Old Aatrox didn't have this luxury.

Secondly, Wukong apparently has a very high playrate in China, so it would be highly disruptive for a larger portion of their playerbase to just overhaul him without good reason.

Thirdly, there are much worse eyesores than Wukong in the game at current - DrMundo Corki Chogath Fiddlesticks Gragas Jax Kennen Malphite Rammus Pantheon Nocturne Singed Teemo Veigar Volibear Udyr Zilean

So in the grand scheme of things, Wukong isn't in dire need of any changes that would place him on any of the update lists above any of the other champions.

Those %%%%s care only about cash from LCS and skins. Yes and I said that and I am fully aware of it.

my only problem with wukong is his theme, he's a generic journey to the west #OCDONOTSTEAL with a bland personality, all he really needs is a lore/dialogue update to bring him in line and then it'll all be fine

I mean they don't. They did 7 plus Ryze reworks, rework popular champions every year, and prioritize work on champions like Ezreal. Lol. They don't care.

this question has been answered so many times im too lazy too look up the links maybe someone else will

Answer is they don't. Look at the recent Roadmap. They don't care who needs updated anymore. They are leaving it to a popularity contest. Instead of giving each one the attention they need, they move on to the latest and greatest craze and go "PLAY THIS, THIS IS WHAT WE WANT YOU TO USE". As far as older champs who didn't bring in the big bucks that's exactly why they are making it a popularity contest. They DON'T care what they update, just so long as it makes the most money.

Aatrox Airlines4/23/2019, 6:00:07 PM3 votes

obviously not, look at aatrox. i mean the balance part especially and this new role pales in comparison to his old one imo. cheers for the name tho!

Short answer: NO

FighterSoul4/23/2019, 5:25:53 PM2 votes

What a stupid question lol! Remember! They only care about money

Short answer is no; long answer is everyone has some favorites, but the higher ups get to railroad all the work that's implemented.

Lore: Yes. And they have proven it with the tons of content they have been releasing. You can head to Story and Art and if you voice your complains nicely you might get in touch with the writers themselves, happens really often, especially during releases. Gameplay: No. Champs that are played in pro play and in high elo get more attention, you are right. As far as balance goes the nerf hammer swings very swiftly for competitive play and very slowly for soloq and casual players. Visuals: Yes! For real? They have a public calendar for VGU's and you can argue time has been harsher for some champs than others but all champions are steadily being worked on

Also I see people one shot with Wuu Kong out of meta my but. Death dance users with wuukong murder people with straight damage and only one life steal item. I even tried it I don't play wuukong and I won pretty badly quite a few times.

Basically, in a game of 140+ champions, someone has to draw the short end of the stick. As awesome as it'd be to rise to the top, certain champs just don't have the draw others do. Hence why guys like Yasuo show up in almost eveyr cinematic while more niche guys like Viktor almost never do.

Generally Riot actions quicker (in my experience) in 1 of 3 circumstances:

1.) Champion is wildly popular and needs help. 2.) Champion is wildly unpopular and needs help. 3.) Champion is not super popular but is currently an issue.

No.

Now, they'll say they do

but remember, at the beginning of 2018, they said they'd give Talon a lore update/short story before the end of the year

Where is it, Riot? :^)
