These guys or gals came up with a really cool and unique way to play an ascension in league of legends and it has worked for them and what does riot do they banned all 5 of them 14 day suspension for playing the way they did.

It's basically exploiting a flaw in the game mode and ends in a really toxic experience for the opposing team. Riot's problem for not seeing past this though. I don't think they should have gotten banned

They followed the game's rules. They didnt "intentionally feed", they just "intentionally did not kill." They werent 0/30/0.
I think innovation like this is pretty cool. Obviously not the best to go against, but it's some really outside the box thinking.

You know, they most likely wouldn't have gotten in trouble if they weren't reported for it so that means the enemy must've reported them after the match lol
Like idk the only one with enough deaths to consider inting was the Garen, though it'd make sense for it to escalate if it happened over multiple matches. Reminds me of when people figured out how to proxy as singed and never lose gold value, yet you risked being banned for trying the strategy. Seems like an oversight on Riot's part, hope these players get help from support or something. At worst this is an exploit that needs to be patched out somehow, like this strategy only works if 5 people are choosing not to kill the enemy so its not like it even ruins solo q games.

Riot should be thanking them for finding such a thing, not friggin' ban them, this was pretty freaking brilliant for them to notice this sort of strategy.
They should also apologize to the whole league community for spamming Poro King and Ascension so much, it's the only reason they had enough time to figure out this huge flaw.

just highlighting the flaws ascension has. Even without this cheese strat, you either run around trying to kill people or sit around trying to mess with the points. The latter wins the game easier and is a lot more boring.
Riot should either fix the game mode or trash it.
That's genius. The fact that they were banned really speaks to what kind of company Riot is, punishing people for abusing their own poor game design.

I forgot that punishments were automatic when I wrote the above. Hopefully the players involved get their bans rescinded as clarification by Riot that playing the game by an UnconventionaI META is fine.
Why are people defending them. It doesn't matter that its a smart strategy. When your whole plan is "make the experience for the other team so negative that they are forced to /ff because thats that only thing they can do" that goes against the summoner's code and is punishable.
I'm not convinced that banning them was appropriate, but this strategy was clearly meant to ruin the game mode for the enemy team and force them to surrender if they want to end the game. If that's not toxic behavior, I don't know what is. They knew they were creating an unwinnable and incredibly unfun experience for their opponents and did it anyway. That absolutely deserves some kind of punishment.

The ban is completely unjustified. There were no exploits here that I could tell.
Certainly not an enjoyable game for Red, but that's not a bannable offense that I'm aware of.
I actually thought of this strategy myself and wondered if it would work, but I have no friends so I couldn't test it out. Seeing it in action is pretty hilarious. That's really dumb that they got banned for that tho tbh. If those scores count as intentionally feeding, then a ton of people should be getting banned right now tbh. Riot's just salty that people found a strategy to win the game that they don't like. Their fault for not realizing something like this would happen.

But considering how i'm pretty sure anyone in the right mind would NOT want to be trapped much longer than normal to play a fucking game...
I find it completely idiotic that people are praising/defending these five people. I see nothing but "justice is served". This isn't "thinking outside the box" like Proxy Singed (or any proxy), as there's no counter to it beyond surrendering. This is just being a jerk and making the whole match unfun for everyone involved. You're basically removing the enemy team's ability to actually play the match.
Should something be done for Ascension to avoid this in the future? Of course! A timer is an alright idea, but I don't really like it. Maybe a thing that lets you recall? Like a two and a half minute timer between recalls?
But the Korean troll with 500 games lost does not get banned...

Question: To anyone who thinks this is ok, would you want to be an a hour+long match that you have no chance of winning, only for your opponent to gloat about how well they did once they finished? Just because a heist is really clever dosnt make it good. The difference is in a heist they rob material goods and in this, your time and patience.
Anybody who believes this method they used is fine cannot possibly imagine the perspectives of the losers. To anybody who feels like argueing against me, please open it with how the opposing teams of this little plan of theirs felt.
I feel I need to leave a comment so Riot understands how many people are upset by this and that it is just a new Strategy to win games, this is the exact same as saying stalling dragon/baron fights are unfun and banning people or even saying placing wards ruins it for the other team. These people do not deserve a ban and their bans should be removed.
well its kinda messed up that they held the enemy team hostage and didn't just end the game, so they probably deserve some sort of talking to or punishment. But does it garner a 14 day ban? No, because its Riots fault. Anyways its a super smart strategy they were just jerks about using it. It could be used on Aram 2
How is it the fault of the players? It wasn't as if they were exploiting a bug. They worked togther to use an unconventional strategy and won by doing so. I'm surprised that Riot, who I thought the staff were all gamers that understood gamers, would understand such a situation. If anything, it is the designer(s) of the gamemode who didn't think this through.
Though I can't be too quick to judge. Riot has in the past seen to it that certain unique playstyles won't get punished. I'm mostly addressing people who say this ban is deserved. It's a similar situation to Proxy Singed, which I think is an ingenious strategy.
So if i spend 50 mins killing the other team over and over without ending that should be ban-able? And can we stop calling this a exploit? Youre using this word and i don't think you know what it means ;/
