assassins are nerfed as hell.

when a na player sees a level 2 talon one shotting them, they think talon is a god rather than playing as a ranged champ and not letting talon proc his passive in the lane.

I dunno man, maybe, still there's something wrong when your assassin cant 1shot anyone lategame which is why he's calling assassin. every single preseason there's a huge buff for ADCs, now they even buffed supports and tanks on the expense of assassins.

Nah 1-shoting people is bad and unhealthy. Unless you're a ranged burst champion that can 1-shot tanks from half a screen away, then it's a-OK.

Well to be fair talon is one of the few of the assassins who at least didnt screw up so badly in this patch. Try play Akali Leblanc Katarina now those are really nerfed to the ground

Akali Talon honestly the major 2 assassins I feel are super weak in terms of burst especially talon considering on the fact that he has to auto after applying 3 stacks and his escape only works if he is next to a wall plus they removed his blink that gave him outplay potential and gave him a linear dash on his q sucks.

I play around the high silver, low gold range, so take my observation with a grain of salt, as people (including myself) still make tons of Bronze mistakes.

That said, I've been in several games where Kha is pretty far behind everyone, and as soon as he gets a couple of items, he's bursting everyone to death.

If Kha gets fed, he can pretty much 1 shot the ADC and mid laner, then pick off everyone else on the team.

Akali is pretty strong imo. She snowballs crazy hard. I built item 3146 item 3115 item 3742 and/or item 3065 before and after the rework and it still hurts with some annoying tankiness and mobility. I just went 15/3 and got an S lol EDIT: TOP, NOT MID if u go mid u probably will get bodied with no snowball potential lol

This may be true. But no assassin player wants to play tank assassins. This is why people have hated tank ekko the entirety of his existence. and This is why when akali first was played as a tank then everyone hated it. As an assassin player I dont want to build tank and beat people to death with a flimsey stick. I want to burst people and actually have a high risk high reward playstyle. And this update destroyed that. I thought that MYMU was terrible but this one takes the cake for being the worst thing riot has done. I really hope they realize they screwed up and completly revert the changes before preseason is over.

I see your point. I understand that Akali might not fit the high risk-high reward thing the same way most assassins do, but she isn't weak was the point I was trying to make. Even then, she's still high risk-high reward in the fact that if you don't do crazy things to get the jump on opponents and snowball, she falls off fast, but mechanically she isn't high risk-high reward.

AD assassins can still be really good because AD assassin itemization is great, and ADCs can't really build armor. Unless they're Talon; I still think Talon kinda sucks (especially compared to Kha/Rengar).

AP assassins... well, Katarina can do work since she has a lot of AOE, but none of the others can kill ADCs at all, so I'm not really sure what they're supposed to do anymore.

idk man Fizz to me felt fine and LB is doing well but requires a lot of skill, even more than before. Talon is pretty meh, I'm starting to get better with him and do more work (he's become more difficult we shouldn't forget that part) but he is probably on the weak side.

And we shouldn't forget the most powerful assassin of all, miss Vayne who is currently destroying anything that tries to kill her so yay

Fizz is sort of the same as before. Sort of. If an ADC gets sharked, they're dead, same as before. But without the shark you can't just jump in on an ADC and expect to kill them from full health with EWQ+lichbane anymore, since W doesn't do much damage when used upfront and you'll usually die to them before the dot finishes charging (unless you use Zhonya's, but that's really dicey against an ADC).

Twitch is an even better assassin than Vayne since you can't see him coming and he still kills everyone in under 1 second late game.

edit: incidentally, win rates are really bad on champion.gg already. It might be a bit early since people need to relearn the champs, but still, Fizz, Leblanc, Zed, Talon, Akali, and Katarina are 6 of the bottom 10 worst winrate champs in mid.

Noone is saying anything about lb? I dont get why they did that I see a Zed in game just one shotting one after another i see a fizz or a lux eredicating entire teams but i cant have a champion on which i can actually kill only 1 target before having to back out? So i actually need to stay in the fight for about an hour until my passive finally procs and in that time i am cc ed 5 times and dead. so please explain why she needs that treatment to make her unplayable?

Kata is also a problem too. She is now almost COMPLETELY ulti dependent do be able to fight any champion at all. And they just increased how vulnerable she is to cc since she depends on shunpo so much now.

not true as a person who has 90k mastery points on katarina I feel like this change made her way less ulti dependent than before and deal good consistent damage with incredible burst to squishy target also late game you have 100% cdr on shunpo if you pick up a dagger so dont be afraid to jump in to do damage and her ultimate actually has good range and damage alone

Pretty much only playable assassins atm is Diana (and maybe remgar). And she's classified as a diver. Also courage of collossus is fucking amazing on her like holy shit.

Yes, let's take for example one champion that has built full-glass cannon, nothing but damage, and see what happens when they hit a champion that is a little more resilient than they are.

Assassins aren't meant to be extremely strong in lategame, like ADC's are. An ADC is supposed to be strong in the late-game, tbh I'd rather not have league of assassins again.

If an assassin finds an ADC alone, provided the ADC is not absurdly ahead or the assassin is not absurdly behind, the assassin should have a 95% chance of successfully killing the ADC in 0.5-0.8s without dying by charging the ADC head-on.

I never said they shouldn't be able to kill squishy's, I said they're not supposed to be as strong. The OP's main point was against Lategame ADC's where an ADC is supposed to be at its peak. Comparatively ADC's are supposed to be stronger late game.

Kha'zix and Rengar are still quite strong, Talon as well.

But what I described isn't excessive. It's supposed to be perfectly normal. Assassins SHOULD be able to delete any solo squishy within 0.5-0.8s. That is what should be NORMAL. That is not "extremely strong." It is PERFECTLY NORMAL. Kha and Reng are the exceptions. Talon is fucking trash.
