Double Standard of Riot and The LOL Community

LOL Loading Screen Tip: If someone is being negative in game and using text chat just mute them with mute button. LOL Player: Uses the in game text chat and calls a player bad. Receiving LOL Player: Taunts the other player to keep being negative and proceeds to not use the Mute Button and reports at the end. Riot Games Moderators: Sends out Report after not really looking into situation. LOL Community: Proceeds to whine about being banned for saying minor stuff Riot Games: There is a mute button and we take no responsibility for anything we do on our game. LOL Community: Goes into reeeeeeee mode and starts blaming the other players. Rinse and Repeat...

Thats the biggest double standard in this game. If someone is abusing text chat by only saying you are bad and you do not mute them. That is on you buddy. Riot doesnt really care to look into it because frankly this community is kind of hypersensitive. I can safely say Riot and the LOL community need to find an agreement on whats bannable and whats not. Having players in the dark of whats harassment and what is bannable just makes the community that much more upset and allows trolls to piss off players who just want to win.

The mute button is not an excuse to let chat offense go unpunished.

A person punches another person. The person who was punched leaves the area (and cannot be punched). That does not mean the person going around punching others is fine. They will still be punished so that they do not go around punching more people.

Muting is leaving the area; it's stopping the bleeding. It's still best to stop the root cause (the person who needs to be muted) rather than force everyone else they encounter to get punched and then mute.
