Yeah Im done trying to climb in a game with a super ineffective report system in post game lobby. Time and time again someone rages so hard they just leave and you are bound to lose. This game has become a meme and not even a good one. Still waiting on the 5 leavers/throwers in a row to get some type of punishment for leaving and still no result. Even when the troll or rage quitter explicitly states in chat they are throwing or leaving because they are mad, Riot will not punish them. Time and time again Riot has proven to me that they solely care about pro play and money and have deliberately disregarded the casual players. Im going to a different game. This game died a long time ago and Im not wasting my passion and memories for playing this game anymore. This game is just a shell that once was LOL.

Tbh, rage quiting has become more prevalent especially because how snowbally and frustrating the game is. This is just the consequence of the damage creep and assassins meta Riot has been pushing since season 7.

If Riot doesn't fix this damage creep and assassins meta where tanks build damage then this game will die eventually. At least it'll die in the west. This game is very popular in China so I don't except Riot to give a fuck about western players.

8 of my 10 placement matches i had a quitter... not one notice that they had received any punishment... so you can get banned for saying someone is awful or the like... but you can quit the game 5 min in cause you died once and nothing happens to you

Someone that leaves a "5-20 at 15 minutes" game is not a rage quitter, he's a realist. I can be classified as a "chronic rage quitter" as I tend to leave a lot of hopeless games which more often than not, encourage the wrath of my team mates. I don't care of course but that's not what this is about. You are being extremely deceptive. You're acting like these people conspire to fuck up your matches or something. Like it happens just out of the blue. Why don't you be honest about what really happened in these games. Let me mock up an example of what actually goes on based on my own experience using myself as the rage quitter.

.....13 minutes in, the score 4-17

Me: lets ff at 15 guys this is over.

P1: stfu just play.

Me: Play for what? We cant win. You guys are just feeding. Why waste the time?

P2: We scale. Win win late.

Me: They have a 5-0 Yi, a 5-0 Vayne and a 6-0 Veigar. We don't outscale them and we have no cc except our Shaco support who is feeding hard.

P3: I'm not gonna ff this is ranked

Me: So?

P3: I don't surrender in ranked.

Me: But we aren't going to win

P3: Throws happen all the time.

P1: Just fuckin play and stfu. Why play ranked if you're gonna quit like a baby. Uninstall noob

Me: Dude why are you being an asshole. This game is over and I would rather not waste the time. Why are you forcing me to waste my time.

.....23 minutes in, the score 6-29

Me: Can we ff now? I tried for 10 minutes and we've made no progress

P1: We are not surrendering.

P3: We can win this. Just believe

Me: Seriously? Just believe? They have a 13-3 Veigar and that's your plan...belief?

P1: (All chat) Report our top toxic please x9 this noob

Me: Wow. I'm toxic for wanting to ff an unwinnable game where we have no chance.

P1: You been crying all game. Instead of just trying to win.

Me: I've been trying for 23 minutes and all we have accomplished is give to Veigar more gold.

P1: Then you suck.

Me: I'm 2-4, you're 3-11

Me: You know what. Fuck this. You guys can waste your time. I'm gone.

Me: (Disconnects from game)

This is very typical of games I end up leaving. Something like this is more likely what happened in those games. You guys need to learn when to accept a loss and stop expecting people to want to waste their time in trash games.

Completely agree that Riot does nothing to punish these people. But say something slightly snide to someone that repeatedly calls you names without using foul language or name calling, and you get a chat ban. I sarcastically called someone a genius after destroying him in lane after he called me every name in the book, chat ban. Lol.

That was all I played was ranked. Getting my Normal games up to par with wins.

If I think I have had enough games played since my last ragequit and the game is 1-10 with complete garbage playing evident by my team... 100% I'm ragequitting that game. Either that or running it down for the fastest end possible. It is so painful playing this game when the loss is so obvious.

Hell, one time I was doing a red start and my bot lane both afk at my blue buff, got invaded and killed. No thanks, I'll go play on one of 5 accounts I have going and have a shot at playing with someone who puts the bare minimum effort in to play competitively in ranked.

In games where I do decide to tough it out and try to pull out a win in spite of my team, I usually regret it. Just the sheer amount of hand-holding and guidance people need to macro properly... I just don't have it in me anymore. Now I keep a book on my desk for some light reading while I position my mouse cursor over the enemy nexus and attack-move to it every few minutes. The TRUELY SHOCKING thing that often happens is my 1-14 bot lane will flame me in chat for "not trying" as if I owe them the favour of making up for their incompetent playing.

If Riot wants to keep people engaged they should design the game in a way that rewards that engagement. Right now it is a punishment to continue playing once you're behind moderately.

This is likely related to the nature of the game atm. When the enemy gains significant advantage early on, there's often little you can do to equalize yourselves until level 18. People snowball and scale more quickly than you with the extra gold and it's hard to farm up enough to counter them. There's no mechanic to give you an ability to fight back because you're just that far behind

Just play Dota its a better game and their engineers fixes any minor problem within minutes unlike riot's who take a whole season to fix. Dota's MMR system is way better Right now. And besides you got to admit league is pirated dota.

Its ridiculous that I can just go into a game and ruin it for the other 9 players and not get punished, but if I say some bad words I will get banned.

Multiple accounts users against people who queue without any real skills, dictate a course of action where time is more valuable than babysitting people with default mmr who need multiple games to get themselves to the lowest of mmrs.

People who want to clown multiple times to make a 50m game for their chemicals have no place in ranked, but this happens and while I am not an afker I understand there is nothing valuable in being "NA" instead of Korean FFing out a lost game.

I "rage quit" quite often. We don't do it to piss you off. We do it because we don't like to waste time. A game that's 5-27 at 15 minutes in season 10 isn't fuckin winnable and if you don't surrender, I will leave. You have no respect for my time so to hell with you. Waste your own time.

If Riot really wanted to fix this issue of so called "rage quitters" then they need to fix this shit where a single kill can snowball the game out of control.
