Between several major controversies at riot, and one of the most polarizing seasons to date, it is a damn shame that this is the year we have one of the best worlds.
I don't know if this worlds will sweep everything that happened under the rug, or if this worlds viewership is down from the bad year. But hopefully Riot does a lot better next year, and we have a just as interesting worlds.
The only reason we're having such an exciting worlds is because of the chaotic state that the game is in. I don't know what further proof that Riot needs that this game is literally a coin toss. Group stage was a mess, knockouts are a mess....you know somethings up when korea gets elmimated in quarter finals lmao.
The double-edged sword of this season is that it has been awful to play, but it's quite exciting to watch.
The opportunities for kills are all over the place now and Korea's safe and reserved playstyle has essentially been shoved out in favor of more risky playstyles.
The game changed radically and KR teams didn't adapt quickly enough.
Prob not. So many players have already quit and most aren't paying attention to worlds at all.
Probably will, populaces are really quick to forget shit.
It's a shame Riot will consider this season a success because people are enjoying Worlds.
