Cho Gath will be literally unplayable with this change.
He will be infinitely stacking but not infinitely growing? Then whats the point of being infinitely stacking?
Unplayable champ, GG Riot, fix your game.

Wait until you can't target the other team because he is so big.
Tell me again the moment you can only leave your base every 5 minutes, due to being too big to fit through the gates.
protobelt bruh
The range and size of his abilities should also grow infinitely. I want to Rupture the entire map.
Ya, let those mobile champs try to dodge THAT.
says hi
Silences the entire map, then ruptures the entire map.
trollpoles the silence, uses zhonyas for rupture
Well, dang. Guess I'll have to try again in a few seconds.
Has banshee's and Edge of Night
You know what? I don't even need to bother with this Fizz. With that build, he's not posing any kind of threat to my team.
Your team is afk
I mean... He's not really going to pose a threat to me, either. If I'm big enough to have global abilities, I probably have, like, 100k health. I can just attack the enemy nexus directly and throw abilities at him to keep him from doing the same.
They have a Vayne who 12 shots you anyway

but he is pretty big i was about baron's size and i could stand on top of dragon lul
Cho'gath needs to be infinitely growing. This is an outrage!
How does this make him unplayable? You realize that if he grows infinitively he would be a skillshot magnent, right?
Does that matter????
No, I want to cover the entire map.
and then on 100 stacks a new ability for his ult would be unlocked.... - eat enemy nexus [slayer-jinx-catface]
If I was a Riot developer I would allow it. I mean if a Chogath manages to get a minimum of 94 kills with his ultimate on enemy Champs he should get the free win option
he can just eat 100 minions... thats 3000 secs of cd which makes for around 50 mins
assuming he gets 30 secs of cd on his ult
Stacks beyond 6 have to come from Champion kills.
He's already bigger than the nexus with level 3 ult + 10-12 stacks.
You eventually get so big that you are automatically in the enemy fountain every time you respawn.
Oh, so now I have an excuse for inting that sucks.
—but at that point you have so much health from stacks that the fountain can't kill you anyway. 1000 pure DPS would take a long time to chew through one hundred stacks.
Gameplay note, the change will hurt Cho'gath jg really hard.
On the other note, memes lul
It is nothing but a buff, first 6 stacks can still be gained from monsters, give as much HP as they did before and no longer lose half of them on death.
The infinite scaling is just infinite gravy.

Not exactly, the 50% cooldown (and cost) refund of R on minions/monsters is gone as well.
Oooh, that's bad, that makes him a bit more abuseable on toplane too.
And you don't get 2 stacks on champ kills.
But you can never lose them.
But if you don't lose them, where's the glory in death :P
If dying makes you weaker, how can there be glory in the dying?
But if there's no real risk/loss in dying, where's the glory in dying?
There is only glory when you win something through your death. Therefore: Cho'Gath can never find glory in death, with or without these changes. However, the changes make his deaths less un glorious.
Sooooooooooo
they literally gave cho the buff for his ult, that i wanted for garens w instead of the armor shred.
feelsbadman.
At 15 stacks he needs to have a vortex type ability that redirects all skills shots to his fat ass.
At 50 he should collapse into a black hole.
They'd better lower his health growth pretty drastically for this buff. Infinite health stacking, with 150 more base health than Sion at level 18? Where 6 ults permanently grants him as much health as Sion killing over 500 minions?

Where he has reliable CC on three of his abilities? Where he can shield for a percentage of said health a few times in a teamfight, effectively giving him a lot more HP? Cmon man, different kits, different balance.
Yes, and now Cho'Gath's kit is different. The difference in base health was fine before, because he could lose his stacks. Now, he can't. Either his base health needs to take a hit, or the amount of health he gets from each stack needs to be lowered.
Before, Cho was rewarded for not dying by being able to reach huge amounts of health (just over 3000 at level 18 with full stacks and no items. But he always ran the risk of losing them. Now, he no longer has that risk. It takes a bit longer to get the full 6 stacks, but it is much more reliable. Plus, he can go beyond 6 stacks now (with diminishing returns). It should require a few more stacks to get to the same bonus health as before. But, he'll have the potential to get even more health than before, if he plays well.
Plus, with the champions-only mechanic after the 6th stack, it moves the skill expression from "don't die" (run away, avoid fights, or do really well in fights) to "kill lots of champions" (do really well in fights).
I'd say just lower his base health at 18 by 180 - meaning Cho has to have 8 total stacks to reach the same health as before. Which really isn't that tough, just 2 kills.

I really don't think Cho'gath is strong enough to start considering nerfs on him. I agree that Sion's base health sucks, but that really doesn't mean Cho'gath should lose out because of it. Sion gains bonus health passively, Cho'gath actually has to go out and use his ultimate to get it.
This isn't about Sion. I brought up Sion because he's the other health stacking champion in League. Sion's base health is kept low because he can reliably compensate for it - he gains health by killing things and can't lose it.
Cho had higher base health because - even though he could very easily stack more health than Sion, it was unreliable - if Cho died, he lost stacks. Now, his health stacking is reliable - once he gets the health, he never loses it.
Even lowering his base health by 180, the changes are still a major buff to Cho. It just means 6 stacks = old 5 stacks, and you never have to worry about losing them. On average, Cho players will essentially always have higher health than before (unless they're bad and can't get kills - or just have a bad game).

Which is fair because it costs a ton of mana, has a long cooldown, and will only really be obtainable after a long period of time. It needs kills to stack infinitely. Which is fair enough imo.
