Games in general might become a little better then, and maybe Tencent would fuck off and let League be a decent game.
But, nah. Modern society's monkeys like shiny, flashy things, and greedy fucking assholes are only too happy to oblige.
I don't necessarily have a problem with esports. If people want to watch other people play the game, rather than play it themselves, I don't think they shouldn't have the opportunity to do so.
What I have a problem with is Riot balancing their game AROUND Esports and all it's "oooh flashy plays look at me", and leave us solo queue players in the dirt.
Now that really just makes my baghette go spaghett if you know what I'm saying.
Tencent has literally no influence over Riot... literally they'd only start exerting the influence they could have if Riot ceased making money.. but last I saw Riot was rolling in dough (or at least that's what they publicly lead to believe), so I see no reason Tencent would try to influence Riot when they're raking in dough and have been forever.
