How to deal with fizz in low elo?

Talking silver/low gold. Teammates never counterpick so thats out. Played ryze into him and won lane hard. Took his turret at 12 minutes and was up 60 cs. But he would constantly roam bot even if his lane wasnt shoved and dive my bot lane, usually trading a kill. Thats enough gold for him. Enemy bot was vayne and gained a cs and xp advantage (and was 4/1 at 9 minutes) over my bot lane. Bot lost hard. I kept up my push and ult ganks. Ended the game 200 cs up on him and even in kills and assists with 4 less deaths.

But he was strong enough to be a significant threat still and we were winning but I got caught out by a fizz ult randomly and we lost the game right there.

Yeah, his pre-6 lane phase isnt good. I ran double mr runes on ryze (phase rush) and pre-6 when he traded me with electrocute it still did more than 50% of my hp. I did run him down coz of his long cooldowns and left him with more damage than i recieved, but it was a lot of damage early game. After 6 hes already a threat. Full build if the game goes on long enough, with lichbane, he can legit wq squishies to instagib them if they dont build mr. doesnt even need ult.

Slippery AF with trickster.

how do you deal with this?

edit: also wanted to mention after AA and Sorc boots I had a negatron for abyssal. He had sheen and oblivion orb. Still doing 80% of my hp with a full ult combo at level 8. Busted champ. Problem is, hard to damage him back when im knocked up and hes invulnerable during trickster. So even though Im ahead and not dead from full combo, he isnt dead either and sitting at like 65% hp. He can just w auto me to death even if i land all my abilities after trickster goes on cooldown.

Hello, Fizz main here, what you have to understand about him is mostly his Q range, that's the key, take him to practice tool and get used to his Q range because if any Fizz wastes E to engage, they're just trolling. Also remember in lane that he is the only assassin in the mid lane with absolutely no ranged poke, he HAS to be on top of anything he wants to damage, this includes CS.

Abuse the fact that you know his range and at level 6 don't try anything until you made sure his ult is down, get his ult range memorized as well, remember that he will always try to land it at least at mid range if desperate. Add the range from Q and protobelt and always play reactively, never proactively until his E is down. his E costs a lot of mana so forcing it over and over with heavy harass is extremely punishing for him.

Gank him even when aware that he will most likely escape from the gank, but remember that before Sheen (second Item usually unless you're bad at him), he has no mana items. So making him use that big chunk of mana and his only wave clear really hurts him. The only other waveclear he has is Protobelt, and he needs to spend a lot of gold on it.

TLDR; You're not supposed to kill him but he's very weak to pressure because of high costs and no reliable poke. Learn his range on Q and R and add them together and also have in consideration his protobelt. Play reactively until he uses E, in which case switch gears to proactive to harass with no chance at him fighting back. Good luck out there my man!

Fizz is a single target assassin. The only way to beat a fed, single target assassin, is to group up on them. This is difficult in low elo. Hence it will always be a problem.

this isnt exclusive to fizz, most assassins can do this. if you're playing as a mage you push and take his tower. you can also try your chances at roaming, just make sure he isnt waiting for you in a bush w proper vision control.

if he gets a bunch of kills and you aren't even/higher on gold than him from minions/turret plates, then you just lose. or you could stall out the game enough so you start beating him in teamfights.

idk, his 10 mana with refund W is a pretty good under-turret csing tool. I did bully him out of lane and took his turret at like 10 minutes as I mentioned. Still stayed relevant with suicide kills. Not to mention even if hes behind and I have negatron, a non-ult trade with electrocute still does half my hp.
