WTF is not leashing your jungler or protecting buffs the new meta? (SEA Garena)

Barso55··6 votes·5,419 views

Until a few weeks ago 4/5 times at least somebody on either side would protect/leash, if not everybody doing what they are supposed to.

Last 3-4 weeks all im getting is idiot ADCs who feel its more important to go into lane to get 2 extra CS instead of giving their jungler a leash. Top hardly ever guards or wards the buff on their side of the map, and last game both the bot laners just went straight into lane despite pinging and typing in chat asking for leash.

There really should be some kind of test or higher level of requirements than just reaching 30 and having a few champs to play ranked. Way too many absolute idiots.

To Responders: It's NOT ABOUT WHETHER A JUNGLER IS SOLO VIABLE.

-Its about the 15 seconds you cost your jungler in comparison to camp spawn timers and wave timers. You effectively put your jungler out of sync with spawn rates in their roam when you do not leash.

-It's about the extra damage the jungler takes that makes them prone to being invaded.

-It's about the fact low HP junglers do not get in early lane ganks.

Maybe you think you can do it all on your own. But there are so many dynamics at play in not leashing your jungler, it's generally not worth it to not leash.

Leashing for the Jungler & Warding buffs isn't really mandatory. It's more of a "common courtesy" to help the jungler early on.

As a Support main, I'm always there to help the jungler until the Buff is atleast 500hp. I don't necessarily HAVE to do this, but I do so just to make sure that the Jungler doesn't fall behind.

Only 3 jungle champions I can think of that need no real assistance early on are Shaco (Jack in the Boxes), Kayn (Takes Q at Lv1 & does Raptors) and Ivern (his passive, Friend of the Forest).

you don't HAVE to last hit minions or deal damage to enemies but if you want to win you will do it.

It's just a common courtesy to help your exp bar and purse

Amumu can solo raptors Lvl1 without leash. Udyr can stay healthy after soloing a buff.

So it's forgiven if it's the adc? What about fostering good teamwork and coordination?

Sounds like YOU yourself understand that... but I've also noticed a blatant uptick in petty and selfish behaviors that are ruining games, for no GOOD reason. Some of it might just be people who aren't on the same strategic wavelength... but the people who think it's "fun" to deliberately soft-troll their teammates (because they just want to see someone else throw the tantrum their subconscious is throwing for a different reason) should be dealt with in a more effective way... because right now, Riot doesn't really do a damn thing about it.

It really is. It's the difference between many first bloods, invades, junglers being able to gank in the first 5 minutes, and often decides which jungler has pressure (even if both junglers attempt to apply it).

It is not a "common Courtesy" to be there to stop a level 1 invade, or not put your jungler behind 40-50% HP and half a level of XP.

Shaco still wants a leash so he can put boxes by the second camp he's going to do, speeding up his clear and making it a lot healthier.

Why would i leash topside? A) My jungler won't come top anyways so i'm not giving a fuck i don't want him anyways. B) Me getting the push and lvl 2 will likely result in firstblood C) Me getting pushed in might end up in me getting killed or losing too much lane pressure.

Junglers have enough sustain to do buffs solo. But i agree many junglers should go through a tutorial of the current meta before they go into ranked, farm up every game and coinflip 50/50 while the other jungler does 1v9

You do realize nearly 30 of some 63 junglers take too much damage level 1 to not make a leashless game viable?

You are delaying your jungler by about 15 seconds, destroying his level 2 gank potential, and putting many of them at about 50% HP, which is absolutely exploitable to invades.

It's not always about what you think will happen. It's about the fact you put your jungler in a situation where they are at heavy risk. Many junglers don't even have heals.... outside of their trinkets.

A jungler should never start top side if they need a leash. Falling behind as a top laner is often a death sentence. If you can't solo the buff at level 1 efficiently then don't start top side ever. I play Taric jungle a lot and he has to start blue buff. I have not once asked my top laner to help me at blue buff when I'm on blue team. If they chose to help that is fine but I'm not going to beg them to come help and then be behind 4 cs and 1 level to someone who can probably dive on them with ignite at level 2.

Maybe you have trouble reading. Leashes are about health and speed of clear, and anti invade. NOT the need for one to be successful. If you played at high elo at all, you'd know most level 1-2 always has action in jungle, and teams cover that action.

Where did I misunderstand anything? You said that it takes a jungler too long and they are at risk of being invaded if they are too low from tanking the buff for too long. This means that if you are playing a champion without the ability to healthily clear the first buff you should always start bottom. In my example of having to start blue buff on Taric, that is fine because Taric has a healthy clear. I can clear it and still be almost topped off on health duo to my self healing. I actually am usually healthier than the opponent after taking my blue and then taking their red and waiting for them to come to red so I can get either first blood or a flash.

Just a side note, I think Taric would actually be a great jungler if he wasn't so reliant on blue buff.

I'm sorry but SuperTop is pretty head on. JG should almost always start bot side in this meta of first one to get a gold lead win's lane for free. Especially since like he said, the JG will not come top despite making you lose level advantage. It's a slower leash so it's not like bot lane where you can still make it down and catch the whole wave. A lot of top laners flat out lose half the first wave if they leash. As a lane bully player, I just see a free win whenever the enemy top leashes.

Tops are going to continue not leashing or giving shitty leashes until the laning phase isn't absolutely garbage and just blatantly unfun when you are any amount of behind or until junglers actually gank top lane and not only when top is already 3-0. But no, gotta gank the feeding 0-12 bot lane and get triple killed instead of a free kill top on the wardless champion that has been over extended for 12m.

I follow the rule of. If you don’t leash me, don’t expect me to ever gank your lane.

I've often had toplaners who don't leash me at all, they can all burn in Hell (Except for the ones where I played Ivern).

Stop playing on that shit ass third party bullshit.

Especially after that Indonesia merge with SG (where I used to play) I now play on EuW with three times as much ping and the people here are far less child-like and selfish.
