Infinitely Scaling Champs (Nasus/Veigar)

So these champs are really strong right now.

Should a game's win condition really revolve around 'ending early' because of 1 champ on the enemy team though? If things go normally and teams are matched in skill, the team with one of these champs really starts losing win potential every minute the game goes on.

Not to mention they are both perfectly viable and not weak in any way mid game. They should have some kind of penalty early for scaling so hard, but neither of them do. In fact, Nasus' sustain with passive + resolve runes + doran shield is second only perhaps to Garen. His kill potential might not be huge until he has stacks (which doesn't take too long given how fast he can stack now) but hes too damned safe for what he can offer mid/late game.

And i'm wondering why Veigar was changed from an anti-mage with the ult scaling off enemy AP? Makes him viable against anyone now. Yeah I know the E delay makes it much harder to land now, but he still offers great utility with that spell even when behind, has an execute ranged nuke on his ult, and generally does so much damage. Seen veigars that had a couple of kills and decent farm at 20 minutes miss e but still nuke whoever tried to kill them.

Had a top/jg a few games ago who kept trading 2 for 1 kills with nasus top and the guy had 4 full items by 15 minutes and 600 stacks. He proceded to 1v5 under turrets the rest of the game.

Do something about

Akali Yasuo Zoe Pantheon Irelia Fizz

Then I'll agree.

Have you read patch notes or looked at any aggregate data in the last .... i dont know, 5 months? Irelia and Akali are hysterically bad. Zoe is mediocre. Yasuo is getting nerfed and hopefully its absolute destruction, but we'll see where he lands. (Note: He could be physically incapable of critting and still be aids to play against because of W.) Fizz I'll give you. but Ahri's still worse.

Dude. have oyu SEEN how bad Akali actually is? Removed from the game is putting it lightly. Not only can you not play Akali anymore, selecting what used to be Akali now forces you to stare at a grey screen for 35 minutes with the only not-grey portion being a text box of random people typing rude sentences and everyone makes a DONG DONG noise or a high pitched whiny PING.

It's psychological torture, to yourself, but it isn't playing Akali.

meh, kinda deserved if you even considered playing one of CT's abominations- I mean creations.

Unfortunately Yasuo (ritos golden boy) isn't getting nerfed to oblivion. Heres his "nerfs":

Stats:

  • Base AD decreased to 60 from 63. Steel Tempest (Q):
  • Crit damage decreased to 160% from 180%.

This dude has been in the meta for way too long. Lets shed some light on other champs who've been in the dark for too long.

Maybe i'm overthinking it, but nerfing crits to only 60% bonus damage while also having a smaller conversion (25%, increasing his crit damage to a whopping 175%) than the previous IE (compared to 180->220%) means his Critical strikes are pretty negligible outside of ignoring 50% bonus armor. This also, unless I'm wrong and Shiv ignores his mechanics, reduces Shiv damage quite significantly. I seriously believe, and hope, until I see actual numbers that Yasuo won't even want crit anymore with such a miniscule amplification to his damage when he could be just buying hundreds of AD and a single attack speed item, resulting in exactly as much damage and much more sticking power item 3153(Maybe evenitem 3078 ) item 3006 item 3813 item 3022

Uhh... Irelia and Akali are insanely strong in the right hands. They haven't been bad in a long time if ever. Fizz is cancer and his 100 - 0 Combo is bullshit with no counterplay if you're an immobile champ with no flash up. Ahri is way easier to deal with.

still dont have problems with Irelia or panth but i agree with the rest. Panth hate just seems to be left over from years ago. but you can deal with those champions after mages and adcs in general.

Revert the recent Nasus buff and reduce the Lifesteal on his passive to 10 / 15 / 20%

This should keep him from scaling too hard and remove some of his early safe-ness, whilst still allowing him to scale as well as farm rather safely.

I don't think Veigar needs any nerfs though.

There's a diverse amount of OP shit in league of legends. They all have their own 'win condition' that if ignored will win the game. A tryndamere will kill you in the splitpush, vayne or yasuo scale like mad. The key is that they each have interesting counter play, and nasus/veiger are no different. If these champs are frustrating you, then that's a sign that you need to learn how to play against them because they have counter play.

Infinitely stacking is the ONLY thing Veigar has going for him. If he could not stack the he would need HUGE buffs.

Don't forget his e. Its basically a larger thresh ult that stuns on a shorter cooldown

Tbh, what would Veigar need would be probably make his Q P&C again, W have higher AP ratio and his E give grounding inside the cage if they get hit by his W while in it (but uh, that would break Veigar support again).
