Would a 50% Bonus Crit Damage passive break Ashe?

I was just randomly thinking about this. Ashe is currently, as we all know, a joke. She's gotten Power and Mobility creeped to all hell, and since she has her famous ult and permaslow on her Q, Riot seems completely unwilling to buff her into viability again. Adding that her passive is terrible, I decided to theorycraft this new one.

It kinda makes sense lore-wise too, since Tryndamere is Melee Critting 101 and who better to be his Crit-mate than Ashe?

The rest of her kit is kept entirely the same; she just gets rewarded more for buying Crit chance (and technically attack speed along with it). Give her more damage considering that she's completely immobile and prone to getting jumped on by just about anyone with a brain.

Also, (http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/A0rFNQ49-in-this-thread-i-completely-redesign-the-entire-league-of-legends-champion-roster).

This guy gives another good idea for Ashe's passive; increased damage to one target that ramps up, similar to warwick's passive. It's not really related to mine, but I felt it deserves mention since I really think it's a good idea, personally.

Oh, and for the record, I'm a tank player, not an ADC enthusiast. I'm just a bit disappointed that Ashe has fallen so low since League's creation. I'd rather have literally any other traditional ADC over her on my team. She deserves some love.

50% would definitely break Ashe. That's insane.

I don't think giving her some bandaid fix is a good idea. What she needs is a rework.

I agree that she might need one. I'm just wondering if this passive could work on CURRENT Ashe.

If she gets reworked, obviously this might not be the best idea.

While I agree she needs a better passive... 50% Crit damage would be OP.

Yes it would. That's a huge buff to her damage output late game, and late game really isn't where her struggles are at. She struggles laning.

I don't really think that's the solution. Ashe mostly just suffers from the mobility creep and a weak early game, though she is still really strong if she plays safe and goes even in lane.

If you really wanted to buff her, I'm probably recommend either:

  • onhit magic damage on her auto attacks when Q is active
  • Reduce cooldown and/or mana cost of Volley
  • Pairing her with protection-oriented supports (Nami, Lulu, Janna) to prevent people from diving her long enough to kite.

Ashe does need a real passive but her damage has always been fine late. Her utility is the best out of adc's and she has a garbage laning phase.

first off 2 things need to happen to ashe

  1. Make her Q her passive. and give it diminishing slows up to a cap before resetting (ex: 1st hit-15% 2nd hit-10% 3rd hit 5% Reset 4th hit- 15%)

  2. new Q slot the passive skill and give it an active where when she activates it she gets a small movespeed and attackspeed boost which gets its CD reduced by 1/3rd every kill/assist

a 50% critdamage passive would even break adc-Anivia....just nope.
