Let's be honest. LeeSin to me for now, until a Zilean seconds are over, because this post is very urgent.

We need to have three refunds every season, because in the beginning, we weren't a Heimerdinger and we weren't like, "ACCORDING TO MY CALCULATIONS, X + X = 2 Xs. WE WERE DUMB AND DRUNK LIKE A Gragas.

We have been waiting a Zilean years for this, yet you still don't let us get three refunds.

Please, Riot, LeeSin to me. Please?

We refunded champions like, Annie, Nunu, and Teemo. like df.

Please, Riot. LET'S GET THE ATTENTION OF RIOTERS.

This request has been asked SEVERAL times, yet to no avail - nothing has happened. Are you just going to ignore us Riot? Is that the company you want to be remembered as? I am speaking for the community here, and 650+ other players right now. Sure, it may be minimal, but this is a LARGE amount of the forum users here. We want REFUNDS. REFUND! REFUND! REFUND!

(I am aware another thread was made like this, but, it has been posted three months ago. I decided to revive this, and hopefully can get another chance to get Riot's attention.)

IMPORTANT EDIT TO RIOT: This is one of the most upvoted threads, in the top 5, YET you still disregard this thread as if it's nothing. The community is speaking, atleast show us a response. If your a community oriented company, then do this request that another 600 players are asking for. Sure, it's minimal compared to the other 1 BILLION, however, I am positive, a huge amount of those 1 billion players would agree on this thread. Will you be silent Riot? Or will you actually show a response. Even my friends made the same mistake. After playing HotS, I can't help but laugh at Riot's system concerning Champs and Skins.

**I've done a survey on players, in my past games, about if they used refunds. I did this over 10 games, and guess what? An averaged amount of, if there were 9 players, in each game, (not counting me), and, 63% of players I had talked to, have said they used their refunds in the wrong way, and wished they could have more. If you want to spread awareness to this thread, share it to your friends. **

EDIT: So, I've seen that "1 refund per season!" and all that. So, I decided to have a new solution.

Basically, if the skin was NOT used more then three times, you can refund it. However, you have a limited time to refund it, and also, you can only refund once per X months.

A lot of us really were dumb in the beginning of the game, and we need some sort of refund system.

EDIT 2:

Why not add a system where you can test out skins? Basically, what it does, is you play a custom game, called Skin Testing, and you can't invite other players, and you have to in a nutshell, test out skins, and you can change skins while in game.

Lots of people have been saying, "These posts have lots of upvotes! But Riot doesn't do anything!". It's because, Riot wants money. All I want, in my life, is like a SINGLE EXTRA REFUND. Really, I could ask for 1 per season. I will keep this thread going, and try to get some Reds' attentions.

Riot, we really are speaking out to you. This has been being asked for a WHILE now, and all I want is just one refund atleast. That's the only thing we could really ask for. At this rate, I'm never going to buy RP again, and just use MKJogo to be honest with you >.>.

The community has spoken Riot, it's time to do something the community asks for. Please, you're starting to stray away from what the community really wants. It's something we all wanted, and something that should atleast be done.

EDIT 5: This response really caught my attention, After playing HotS, I can't help but laugh at Riot's system concerning Champs and Skins. It is completely laughable, it is honestly an absolute joke in comparison.

HotS: Look at a Hero's page and see a big 'Try' button. Click on Skins. It shows me what each skin looks like in-game and there's a big 'Try' button. I can try out champs and skins in a little custom match before I pay for them? Awesome! Oh, look at what I just noticed, there are recolors for each Hero's skins, including the default. How much do those cost? They're free? You get them from leveling up your character? That's pretty rad! What's a Master Skin? You can buy that with in-game currency? Wow!

LoL: Look at a Champion's page. Cycle through the skin options. The artwork for some of these skins is really incredible, kudos to the art department. "Tribal Maokai"? This skin's artwork is pretty cool, I'm gonna buy it. -Loads into game- What in the world is this? This looks nothing like the artwork. . Where is the option to see what skins look like before I buy it? I have to go to Youtube or Lolking to see? Why can't I just see it in the client? What's this Mastery system? You get levels for each champ by playing as them? Oh cool, just like HotS! Wonder what you unlock by leveling up each champ? Oh. . a little emblem by the champ in the loading screen and an emote that just puts the emblem above the champ? Ok. . a skin or even a recolor would have been nice considering you seem to have copied the system straight from HotS. . what's this about Chroma packs? They're recolors for certain champs? You started working on these while you were working on Champion Mastery? I have to spend $5 for a recolor?? Why wouldn't I just by the skin? Someone on the forums made a post about how recolors take about 5-10 minutes to make a set of 3 and you're charging $5 for them?? Thanks but no thanks Riot.

I thought my eyes were going to fall out of their sockets, with how much they were rolling when I was writing Riot's section. - AlphaRumpRanger.

Yeah, why is this? Why is a company that makes EVEN LESS MONEY then you, about a 1/10, still doing something better? Shouldn't it be the opposite? Even more proof Riot just wants money.

I am still surprised how this thread got so god damn popular. If we can obtain more upvotes, and become the #1 most UPVOTED forum post in Gameplay & Balance, a Red HAS to take a look at it.

This amount is ONLY 9 MILLION DOLLARS. Riot has 1 BILLION.

Edit: 9 People are fighting against this post, about how, in the TOU, and things like that. We CAN break through the TOU, if we can get more players to upvote this, we can hopefully get atleast 1 Rioters attention.

A post in, "There was a red post a while back..." It explained, that new champions dominated the meta, and until they were nerfed heavily and became mediocre in the meta.

Exactly, this is why we need refunds. For example, Kalista. She used to be CRAZY fun, and that's why I got her, but now I wanted to refund her. Ooops! Sorry, you can't refund because of uhm... Annie, Yi, and uh Alistar.

I even tried to refund Unchained Alistar for oh lorde sakes...

Here are some possible solutions that we can do, to get refunds.

1 Refund Per Season.

3 Refunds per Season.

2 Refunds per Season.

Refund in 24 HRS (EXTREMELY EASY TO ABUSE.)

Refund in X time. (EXTREMELY EASY TO ABUSE.)

So - people have been saying, "You were lucky to obtain refunds!", or "I didn't misclick on my refunds."

Sure, I was lucky to obtain refunds, Many others were too, thing is - we were stupid. None of us took into consideration of our refunds, and made our refunds useless.

Pretend you got, for example in a game, a super rare thing to get in the game, that works only three times. Your new, and this item, grants you ... uhm... buy any item you want! (unoriginal)

You decide to buy 50 cent health potions, and then you realize, that you could've bought on something much more valuable, like a weapon that was the most powerful weapon in the game.

You can only get this item ONCE in the entire game, and you just used it all on 50 cent health potions. How would that make you feel?

You'd feel like a idiot, and, an idiot. Then for the other players who are like, "I didn't misclick!"

Well, that's great! Some of us weren't smart as you in the beginning, and spent our RP on Master Yi - fed, and refunded.

It's reached 1.1K upvotes, and soon going to become the first, (maybe?).

Riot, the community is speaking. Lots of us use our refunds unknowingly, some of us, are just plain dumb, and some of us, didn't even know what refunds could actually do until later on, and how important they were.

I have some solutions - that could make somewhat of a sense.

How about actually making good behavior useful (suggested by many).

Basically, there is a system that checks games that you play, and see how many reports you've obtained overtime, over 20 games.

This happens every 3 months, and what occurs, is a refund is given. Reports will be checked, and there must be valid WORDS in the report, with the TRIBUNAL.

(Tribunal is much more legit then this piece of tard that Riot created, that is fully automated.)

Then, you obtain 1, simple, flippin, refund.

It makes sense, in fact, so many companies allow this, besides you. Allow a refund every X months, or something, or allow it every X games played, like, I don't know, 100? Atleast make it a possible amount, as long as we get refunds.

This thread, will possibly soon be the most popular thread, in Gameplay and Balance. Riot, will you take my magical refund thread of glory? Or go ahead, and ignore the community ENTIRELY, and blank them out, like we are complete and utter trash. What's your choice?

(For people who think that Riot doesn't ignore, if you look at Board Feedback, and Best threads, well... You'll see. Threads like "A Letter To You Riot", and all that good stuff. Riot spreads lots of bullshit, like, go to Skin and Champion concepts, and click on Best Threads, and "Regarding Chroma Skins".

Seriously, Riot, this is a recurring thread, and it's time. You know it.

So, people have been saying that they have been league veterans, and bought RP on some champions, and if they could refund, then it would be abused on those champions LONG BEFORE 30 days.

To be honest with you - Riot doesn't lose much on it. Consider this, 1 refund per season wouldn't hurt very much up to a cap of three refunds, and only refunds per month.

Why? Consider this. Nobody will really refund Spirit Guard Udyr if it's a great skin right? How about Final Boss Veigar? Lots of players like it, no one will refund.

The better the skins are that Riot puts out - regardless of refunds, players will buy that skin. It's logic.

Quality = Sales

DJ Sona was not even CLOSE TO being brought by many. It was a FAILURE in sales. Want to know why?

A huge amount of players dislike support, feeling useless. A even smaller amount play support. A even SMALLER amount play Sona. And guess what? They nerfed Sona in a patch before that made an EVEN SMALLER MINISCULE AMOUNT.

I was one of the players who bought DJ Sona. Why? Because, I wanted to use Sona as a support main. Now I can't, because she is almost useless compared to Thresh, or Blitzcrank, or Leona.

Riot WON'T lose money, if they make these new refunds for every four purchases. Riot would actually get EVEN MORE MONEY.

Because, if you buy four things, you can't refund them all, right?

And, they can make Ultimate Skins NONREFUNDABLE. To prevent even more money loss, if Riot really wants that $.

Stop trying to defend Riot, it's obvious, that right now, here and now, they just want money, every company does. Plus, they shouldn't be doing this for money, they should be doing this for the playerbase. Not for god damn 100,000$ lost, when they have 1Billion, which is such a miniscule amount.

100,000$ is 1/10000th of a billion god dammit.

I refuse to pay out any money, just because of this dang Refund system. What happens if the skin doesn't look good, or isn't how I expected it? I'm never buying a skin from Riot again. Now, some of you may argue that, "Well, Riot doesn't care if they lose 10$!".

Thing is, some of you may do the same thing I do.

If 1,000 players do this, then what happens? They could lose 10,000$. Pfft, that's nothing! (sarcasm)

I want refunds because lots of players USED their refunds in the beginning of the game, for no reason, like refunding teemo. Players are thinking like, watch Skin Spotlights, and all that bullshit.

This was in the beginning of our progression in the game, we just refunded Teemo and refunded the refund for no reason -_________-

But...I don't really see refunds as losing money..people already paid to get Riot Points and they ARE going to spend it sooner or later, it isn't like people sit there and don't use their RP. Do any of you guys get what I'm trying to say right now? Like if I Pay-Pal'ed or got a Prepaid amount of RP for say...20$. Alright, I buy a few skins and a champ. Maybe I hate this Champ so i refund it. Riot still has my 20 bucks and I still have some points to spend on something else. If I just let that sit there and don't spend it/buy more RP, then the only party at fault is Riot for not making something worth buying.

Allowing 3 per year would mess with Riots system.

I like the idea for 'limited-time' refunds for skin purchases. So at least if you don't like the skin in game you can return it in say 5 days. That would be nice.

i remember i bought MasterYi with rp. i then refunded him becasue i wanted the rp for something more useful. Then i found out that their are no more refunds. i was lvl 12

Why do you need a refund? All riot needs to do is allow you to see a skin ingame before you buy it. Problem solved.

lolking is fine but you can't see special effects or transparent textures. Shouldn't need a 3rd party for a service the game makers should be providing.

The splash art often far out paces the actual skin quality and makes it very deceptive.

This would be fair considering you can't refund skins when champions get reworked anymore, and a lot of these reworks are motivated by balance on the competitive scene.

Honestly I wish I hadn't been allowed to use my refunds until lvl 30. I remember I refunded Jax which I bought with IP. I just didn't know I was young and naïve please forgive me RITO.

Ok, I don;t understand why Riot won't give us refunds. Lets say you just bought 100 dollars worth of RP. You Bought Spirit Guardian Udyr and played him for a day and didn't like him. You refund him and get your RP back. Riot still has your 100 dollars. Even with 100 refunds per season, Riot wouldn't lose any money because you bought the RP with money and no matter what you do with the RP, Riot still has the money.

Not 3 per season, but maximum of 3 refunds per season.

For example, after Season 6 starts and you have 2 refunds, you now have 3.

If you already had 3, nothing changes.

This needs to be a thing.

If there's anything that tells you about the 'give a mouse a cookie...' problem, it's refunds. They give us free refunds, we claim that it's not enough.

While I think three refunds a season would be a bit of overkill. I would definitely love to see more done to help players acquire. Three refunds for you account's entire lifetime is way too low.

Why not have a promotion around Christmas time or New Years' where players get a refund of one purchase of their choosing (within the last year)?

Why not grant a refund for every X amount of purchases? Seems fair that people who are spending more money in the Riot store should have more opportunities to get refunds on purchases they are not pleased with.

These are just two ways that players can garner rewards while still leaving the system fair and track able.

holy fuck over 1k upvotes! this is something that needs to happen. It's really stupid to have just 3 refunds for your entire account, what if the skin i just purchased wasn't what i was expecting? what if there is something about the champion and/or skin that just puts me off? what if i just found out about another skin i really like but i just bought this dumb skin that i just bough because why not? There is already a time limit in how old something can be if you want to refund something so this would not be abused. Just have it always reset to 3 refunds per season so you can never have more than 3 in any given season

I would settle for any amount of refund per season. I ran out of refunds due to me being dumb as hell when I first started and was like 'hurrr durr this must be infinite refunds' and I used my refunds to test out champions. Bought Mord, then didn't like him. Instantly refunded. Did this with 2 other champs.
Mistakes were made. But how many others have done stupid crap like this and lost out on all the refunds?

I remember when I bought a wrong skin, but because I used my refunds, support wouldn't do anything about it even though I requested it right after without actually using the skin. It really sucks.

I wouldn't mind a refund over 24h after purchase, proven that you haven't use said champion or skin on a PvP match. Hence you truly purchased it by mistake that is teh reason they give the refunds.

They're not even going to lose money though, that's the thing. You'll just use the RP on something else. It's like when you return something at a store, you get "store credit" but never actually get the money back. You can just spend the money at that specific store differently.
