So I've been playing ADC in ranked, lately. This is a rant, so just leave your downvote and go away if it doesn't concern you.
First game, I go Ashe. My support is Ali. We do pretty well at first and even get a good lead! Then all of a sudden, Ali starts roaming top. All game long. For the next twenty minutes. If I go top, he'll go into the jungle. If I go into the jungle, he'll go mid! He was basically avoiding me as if I had the plague. Everyone revered him as an MVP, even after we lost. Then they all gave me shit for begging Ali to not ditch me all game long. Like, okay, sure.
Second game, I go Twitch. My support is Thresh. I was up against an early game monster MF and Janna, both harassing with the Summon Aery thing. Thresh things he's good and forces engages. The second I'd go in to help, he'd back off and try to get me killed. He succeeded. He then asked our Jungler to come down, and he made us give them a triple kill. I asked him to not do that, so he went with out jungler to gank mid instead. He gave their mid a triple kill! So everyone is fed, Thresh is now avoiding me like I got the plague, and everyone is giving me shit for not being able to defend myself under my own tower against fed enemies, because Thresh is nowhere to be found. And then we lost. Like... okay, sure.
Third game, I decide to go Ezreal, so when my support inevitably leaves me to rot, I'll have a decent escape! My support goes Teemo and camps top, so I literally solo bot lane all game long. And then we win, somehow!
So I learned a few things.
- ADC's are complete garbage, and the better ADC only exists when he has a better support.
- Low gold is complete fucking garbage.
- If you know your support is gonna be bad, just play an ADC that can leave uncomfortable situations, like Ezreal, Tristana, Lucian, etc.
Well, I knew these already. But damn, did they stand out boldly tonight.
