thoughts on this jax jungle build/guide?

i find hextech a very useless item on jax because of it's little lifesteal and spell vamp on jax is very useless considering it will only proc every 3rd auto try replacing the hex teck with a bork and instead of that glory item get trinity force it will seriously up your damage output and you will still be tanky not to mention more attack speed in case you need to split push

I will agree with boxes; really when it comes to Jax gunblade has pretty much been tested/experimented out of the picture. Any Jax worth his salt will rarely build a gunblade, barring some games in which you are facing a weird comp and need to itemize uniquely. The biggest damage output comes from BorK and Trinity combo.

Having played plenty of Jax and jungle myself, I recommend getting Mercs instead, the tenacity really helps your survivability in fights. Also try to max out your CDR and max Q because it gets on a ~3 second cool down real fast. Coupled with a midgame sightstone that shit is OP. This is just my preferred playstyle though, this is probably not as beneficial for a more team oriented Jax player. But I definitely recommend it, hella fun.

I wanted to try something different. I do think righteous glory is very good on Jax however. Since you don't need to start with counter strike when engaging. Activate if the enemy chooses to fight instead of run. Also botrk trinity doesn't use a jungle item. You could of course get cinderhulk however. Kind of delays your primary damage/sustain source however

I like this build if your team needs more mixed damage

I did try botrk warrior which was okay. The counterstrike did more DMG the to armor pen. I might try botrk warrior cleaver.

I played quite a bit of jungle Jax last season.

I always went BoRK-devourer-full tank. You need no other damage if you have bork and devourer since both scale into late game and you already have AS steroids. All you need is time to actually deal your very high sustained damage, so you build tank.

He has zero sustain.

It's the same reason I have no idea why people use as a jungler.
