Grey Health Boots

Like tahm kench's grey healtb

100% health regen and gives say 200 Grey Health that decays (equates closer to like 150 hp unless you get bursted)

Was thinking it'd be good on say udyr item 3075 item 3078 item 3065 item 3800 item 3718 item 1001 But needs a bit more HP to get more out of thornmail with effective health of sorts.

Its good because it kind of provides health without adding to your max HP. Wouldnt be op on Hp scaling champs since it won't scale with say volibear bite etc or naut shield

This helps champions who are short of HP from their build and boots could help fill this void.

item 1001 + item 1006 + item 1006

+45 movement speed +100% health regen Unique passive: when taking damage, your health is converted into grey health. After you leave combat you will regenerate X% of grey health back as health. (Max grey health at one time: 500) (optional) Active: convert grey health into a shield that decays over time.

Is this what you mean?

Come to think you're spot on, thanks. Only thing wouldn't have a recipe to it. Would directly go from 325g to 1000gold tier two boots. I think 350 to 400 strength shield might work too (similar to lateitem 3401 game). Or lowering the shield strength could work with a low cool down on active.

That way these boots would come in handy for champions that don't back often (aka great for jungling or roaming support).

Yeah no, that would be unbalanced.

Would be an active with 60 second cooldown, -40 secs if your in fountain. Or something else just brain storming

Oh that's right I forgot how it worked. So ya would have to work based on damage taken then when you activate it it converts it into a shield. Gotch ya. 500 HP would be too much though. More like 200, 250 max has to be comparable with 25% attack speed. item 3006 Lower CDR then like 30 or 40sec.

You'd have to activate it twice when you think your about to take damage and second time to convert it into a shield.

Or could just be a passive max 200/250ish grey health that you can convert into a shield when you wish by activating boots I wouldnt make it so you could regen from it however if you leave battle like kench has

I guess there could be an issue if kench uses these boots. Would need to have an effect if you active it first time to show its from boots.

Or could make it more like malphite passive. Then it'd be different from grey health

WHen I first read the title I saw "Grey Health Pots" because now they turn grey when you have full health :P.

I think Bloodthirster shield is enough. Too similar. And we don't need to copycat a champion's mechanic.

Garen would be Op

Alright so i narrowed it down to this idea. Boots give you 5 flat health regen as a raw stat. _(going with flat instead of % since it does not give you hp/ intended for champions which soso hp, that want to get more our of their resistances). _ It has a storable bank for up to 250 points. this bank fills at a rate of 25 points per 5 seconds. takes 50 seconds to fill it.
This 250 bank can only go towards replenishing grey health. Only once it reaches 250 can it be used / "expended", happens automatically.

Lets say you incurred damage and your deemed in battle. You will have grey health for up to 250 hp worth. Once out of battle the stored health gets used automatically if you did not use your active shield to fill up the stored health (you'd use shield if you need it immediately on site).

While expending the stored 250 points it will refresh grey health at a rate of 75 health per 5 seconds. with the 5flat thats 80 health per 5 seconds so about 15 seconds to restore the grey health.

Imo regen should have a cap for these types of outliers/exceptions.. like we have for attack speed. But even so I still don't think it would be op on him. Cant tell until its tested. Its also a misconception of sort to say this since nothing is op if the numbers are low.

I do think it would be pretty distinct from blood thirster. For one only so much you can do with a bar so you'll see similarities with anything you do. Blood thirster works when engorged this doesn't. Lifesteal works when you deal damage this doesn't. This shield decays the instant its triggered too.

Also cannot expend the stored points while on cool down.

Recap:

Active something like say: receive shield that fills up your grey health up to 250-300 strength which decays over time. (this can be balanced by adjusting how fast it decays). (Maybe first half decays at rate of 150 in 2 seconds. And the other 150 (out of 300) decays overs 6 seconds.) Good at mitigating burst, so time it right. Cooldown perhaps 50 seconds?

Buying someone ult for 400g.

Its not his ult its his E. Its not an enchantment its tier two boots 675 gold. I'd have to get a better idea of the values though. Forgot that shield points are deemed less costly than HP points since no guarantee it'll soak DMG and does not go towards HP scaling. A bit like recurve bow's on hit DMG is worth less than flat ad.

Look at Sivir ult very similar to item 3069 and item 3800

Also guys please don't be that guy who we would point to for being the reason why we have a minimum of 10 or so characters to type. Typing no is just lame. Substantiate what about it doesn't do it for you. Theres an upvote system to say no, comments are for discussion. This has been up voted at least 10 times assuming people typing no down voted. So that's equivalent to 10 yes spams in chat.

Its like the saying goes people against something are usually quite vocal about it, this doesn't mean its a bad idea that wouldn't be welcomed by the community at large.
