A caster that doesn't need to land spells with a super escape? I need to know.

He tends to fall off later in the game when tanks/bruisers have MR (since he doesn't build Magic Pen) and he doesn't have an attack speed steroid. Since he typically builds Sorceror Shoes instead of Berserker Greaves, his attack speed is lower than normal too (especially compared to ADCs with Phantom Dancer).

He has a lot of synergy with Trinity Force so he has a strong mid-game, but it typically results in him having lower than normal critical strike chance (30% with TF and IE) later in the game.

His Q has a delay before landing so it can be pretty easy to dodge.

His E requires he be facing enemies to damage them and shred their armor, which typically means that he loses the damage and armor reduction when trying to kite (since he keeps turning away when moving).

Casting his Q and R can interrupt his autoattack animation, which can reduce his DPS.

tl;dr He has a strong mid-game due to Sorceror Shoes, Trinity Force, and his hybrid damage. However his late-game damage suffers for that build choice. You can build him like a normal ADC, but that sacrifices his mid-game power for late-game power (where he's outclassed by other ADCs anyways).

High mana cost and a steroid that requires you to be licking the nostril of your target while Kog and friends get to stand on the nexus and get pentakills?
