So I am working on my shaco as I think I'll take him into the next season as my main jungler. I have been exploring various summoners and I feel like CV is really useful. It allows me to have constant sight on the enemy jungler so I can efficiently counter jungle and not waste time roaming around. Is CV a good option or should I simply stick with ignite for the trade potential if I meet the enemy jungler or in ganks?
You don't really have much of an option on Shaco. You need the Ignite to beat the enemy jungler in a fight, and it is super useful in ganks. Really, the only semi-viable options are a distant Flash because it is Flash and Exhaust because it also has dueling strength, but is less useful in ganks.
If you really want something like CV, take blue trinket. I still much prefer ward trinket early for warding inside the enemy jungle and red trinket later for making sure the bush you are standing in is clear.
In my opinion, I would think trading ignite would really hurt your ganking and killing potential early game. It would probably be easier to buy sight wards for the enemy jungle, and use your Deceive to quickly escape after warding. Having to spend a little extra gold versus trading a summoner spell is worth it in my opinion.
why would you play shaco if you're gonna take cv?
