@Yasuo mains: How do I counter Windwall?

Lately I had a game with Urgot. Even though I farmed pretty well and did a lot of our teams damage in the late game and we eventually won it, I really had problems fighting Yasuo in lane. This was basically because he outplayed me by placing his windwall so I did no damage at all since it is all projectile-based. I was kinda weirded out by how the angle on it works and I couldn't force him to go away from it. I figured I'd ask some of you Yasuo mains since there are a lot of you. How do I outplay it?

You don't. Theres a reason its one of the most hated skills in the game. Best you can do is bait it out of him and capitalize on its cooldown.

I'm not Yasou main too, but I counter it easily by moving around it, easy :)

waiting it out is probably a bad tip but that's one of the options. If it's not, position yourself at an angle that makes it useless so that Yasuo has to re position in a way that gives you a chance to hit your spells. Or just stand right in front of him and bombard him. Windwall comes out at around 100 units ahead of him so anything right in front of him will just hit him regardless of windwall. It's a hit or miss spell.

Not a Yasuo main, however one way to counter his little wall of invincibility is to use active items, such as Hextech gunblade. It's an on target effect that does not count as a projectile and will not be blocked. There are damaging actives for both AP and AD, so everyone can get theirs'. <3

im no yasuo main but i think if you can figure out a way to out position the windwall it may be easier, though depending on how good the yas is that may be hard

When I play against him as pantheon, I always try to bait out the wall before throwing spears just to save mana. You may have to do the same; similarly, you may be able to stack a bit extra mana or mana regen and force out his wind wall with corrosive charge, should give you about a 10 second window to recast corrosive charge and get in some damage assuming he blocks the first one immediately. If he doesn't block it right away, you can just slip in some damage then.

Hope that helps some
