Azir ADC?

Azir is listed secondary as a marksman so how good is he as an adc? To anyone whos ever tried it and what build would you go for adc azir?

Not ADC. APC. Get a Nashor's Tooth item 3115 and then build full AP. If you play him right then you have huge consistent DPS from the back line. Kinda like an ADC, but with AP damage.

Nashoor's tooth has been proven to be a noob trap item. The attack speed does not translate into improving his soldier's attack speed. Here's some people who reaffirm this opinion.

If you do build it, build it late game. It's not that strong of an item to rush on him.

Well what the fuck is the LCS doing? It's rushed nearly every time in the LCS. Why is it rushed regularly in Solo Queue in Plat+?

One of your links was 9 months old, the other was 11. Don't trust links that old for such a quickly changing game.

Lastly, Nashor's gives you AS to get extra attacks off while an enemy is near your soldiers, so you can get extra chunking. Even if the 2nd passive doesn't do anything, Azir is helped by the 3 main stats so much that it really doesn't matter.

Yeah, those statements were made like how long ago? Since then, the item has changed and is more viable.

I don't own Azir but to my knowledge none of his abilities scale off of AD. He's still an APC, he just functions like an ADC is all. I don't think there is a particular build that works on him for AD. But try it out if you're curious. People are finding out new things every day.

what about kog? All his stuff scales off ap and yet hes an adc more often then ap

His W gives %hp damage, added with the fact that his Q gives passive increased Attack Speed, he's best as an ADC. item 3153 this item also exists. If he has enough Attack Speed, even the tankiest melt within 6-7 seconds.

His ult scales off of bonus AD and the rest of kit highly scales with AS.

Azir has no AD scaling beyond the passive AS, but he still benefits infinitely more from AP.

"Marksman" is supposed to do consistent DPS. They don't necessarily do physical damage, but AA is the best source of DPS, so most marksmen are ADCs. Azir, Teemo, and Kayle can all be Marksmen depending on how you play them, even though most of their damage is magic. I'm reluctant to call Cassiopeia a marksman, even though she has a really low cooldown spell that basically works like an ADC's AA. Heck, it even gives you some HP back, just like lifesteal.

I've played Azir bot lane quite a few times. Since you usually have to heavily trade in the bot lane you'll go oom very easy if you just straight up rush item 3115 . I think the strongest build for bot lane Azir is going item 3070 item 3020 item 3040 item 3089 item 3135 item 3157 . The early so you can constantly trade without going oom plus he can stack incredibly easy. This also gives him the most dmg out of any other build, but the downside is that it does take awhile to scale. However, that's not really a problem if you play him bot since most ADCs need a few items to get going.
