Need tips with Zed

You only have to hit his Q which is easy to hit skillshot if you ask me, it gets a bit harder to hit both of shurikens or three shurikens while shadows are active. But most of the time hitting one shuriken is enough.

I meant to put no for the vote but put yes lol. I am gold/plat elo and I find Zed pretty easy to play, but probably would never take him to ranked. You have to understand how to build zed, play him, understand his damage and have an idea of what damage his death mark is going to do. His combo (WQE) isn't hard at all and as you learn it you can do it faster and more accurately, but eventually you will be an okay Zed player.

Zed has crazy early game harass. It's fairly easy to hit Zed's Q and it does tons of damage early game against a squishy midlaner. You can also position your shadow to hit 2 shurikens at the same time to deal even more damage.

Before I started playing jungle, I was a Zed main in the mid lane so I have quite a few tips for him:

1. Don't Use your shadow to CS if countered (such as Heimerdinger), use it to escape
2. When countered in lane, try to roam and help your other lanes pick up kills
3. He does really good damage at level 1, he can usually get a strong level 1 fight, ending with a kill, a forced flash, or causing a minute of free farm
4. Learn how to use hotkeys

• What I mean by this is that his build consist of several activatable items, such as , , and . Therefore, pick hotkeys for these items that you can easily click, I suggest 1, 2, and 3 (should be default)

5. Zed is an early game champion. He is an assassin, so once it is late game, he is pretty much screwed. So use your ultimate early while you can.
6. Zed is an outrageous split pusher. Split push during the mid game when you can. It's never bad to pick up objectives for your team.

Are they singularly hard to aim? Not at all.

Would hitting 3 shurikens on one target be hard? Absolutely.

His skill cap is very high, but you don't need to hit it to be good with Zed. Phoenix already explained the basics of using Zed effectively, so there isn't much to add until you learn those. The only thing I might add is, be bold. Make the plays where you switch with your shadow offensively to proc your passive for a kill if it would happen (instead of letting them get away with that 1 hp after the W-E-Q combo). Dive the carry and kill them (after knowing you can get out with a flash or second shadow. Requires positioning and timing, but need to trust yourself and team.)

I suppose a big tip is reinforcing how Zeds ult works. He leaves a shadow where you activate it, and many people disregard this. You can press R to come back to that shadow/switch. That shadow also throws E-Q's with you and with your W shadow. Pulling R from farther away lets you live (probably), but reduces your burst because of the damage you deal being dealt again when the mark pops. (one less shadow to hit them with is less damage which is less the mark procs.) You need to micromanage your shadows and know when to do what and how to use your ult in the most effective way. To run/juke, pure kill, attempted kill with escape, multiple target damage, etc.
