play early in the morning, playing at night means you often get paired with drunken idiots, yes i've gotten so many "lol i'm drunk" players that i just don't even bother playing at night anymore. just overall i found people argue much less (or even talk) during this time of the day.

And during school time :D Gotta avoid the 12 year olds that got their call of duty taken away.

That feel when you'be been waking up at 12 for the past week and your dad tells you to wake up earlier...so you wake up at 5am to play league.

I actually love playing with drunk people because they do shit like lich bane and runeglaive and the whole game is just a fun mess of whatever and everyone is so laid back (barring that one dude who flames, but let's hope I'm not paired up with him). Granted this is for normals, and ranked is a lot different, but i can say for normals i actually enjoy just having fun and messing around with someone who's half asleep and drunk XD

I don't like playing late at night, because tiresomeness makes me go full bronze mode, and what I actually enjoy in this game is doing an action successfully (whether it's getting a kill, winning a trade, winning a fight, escaping successfully, stealing an objective, saving a mate, ...) not because I was lucky but because I knew what I was doing - call it playing well or outplaying if you want to. And... I noticed, while playing ranked, that you tend to have better teammates in the morning (or the school days). When I say better, I mean less AFKs, less people raging, less people trolling, and even mates with a better skill (but that goes for enemies as well. For me, it's because a lot of reasons :

  • the ones who stayed awaken late at night (and are usually more tired) are sleeping during the morning,
  • the ones that made a party and will be broken the next day are also sleeping,
  • the ones that had to wake up early (and so will be more tired) to go to school/work are at school/work,
  • the ones that rage more often because they are frustrated after (insert whatever you want here ; something that has gone wrong in their life, their school, their work,...) are not here or not frustrated, because it's the morning, a new day and nothing has happened yet,
  • ... (You can add a lot of things here, but overall I believe that playing ranked (or even normal) games in the morning will go way better for you as you and your mates are probably well awaken and "happy" to start a new day.

Tl ; dr : Tiresomeness and mood greatly influence the way everyone plays and how well they are doing, and playing in the morning will allow you to meet more people in better conditions.

I wish playing in the morning was an option for me. I miss playing in the A.M.

Qued for three ranked games last night and got people that were hellbent on trolling from champ select.

Third que I say my usual "Hello team, prefer Jung or support" in champ select. Second pick tells me to f**k off. Didn't have a third game in me with that crap so I dodged.

I don't mind people that have a bad game, but I don't understand the people that que up to troll their team mates, say they're going to feed, not even try.

Yeah, I've noticed that 2AM-11AM, ranked is.. 'fairly' peaceful. When I was grinding from silver to gold the past 2 seasons, I found that if I played in the aforementioned times, I generally got quieter and nicer teammates, which in turn, helped me play better since I didn't have to worry about getting raged and flamed or having my team scream at each other. I've also found that if I played ranked during the holidays/vacation, all I got were crying teens that raged and whined about their roles getting nabbed from them or getting ks'd.

Whenever it's past 1am there is a good chance I'm going to start trolling some games or just play like shit.

I normally play before I go to work, playing around 2-4pm PST, (I work nights), or all night... Holy crap the difference playing late at night or early in the morning. I agree 100% it's much nicer to play in the morning. Because my team was nice, we communicated which led to me winning FOUR games in a row. Some of us did bad some games, but that was okay since we were a team and in it together. I get off at 5am in I can say I want to play then over afternoon.

One game pre-lobby, I was first pick: "Ban Cho Pls." - some dude "I'm probably going to be going Cho." -Me "Cool! I'll go Wu. Can someone go YAS?" Third pick locks in Yas "Sweet, we need a malphite support now!" Someone locks in Malphite support

Their team comp was stupid, but our consistent knock ups/hold in air was just horribly awesome. Communication does a long way. The other afternoon I was trolled from promos S3 to low S4... Those Four games plus a Teemo win the other day brought me back to S4 promos...

I played 4 games (between 3am and 6am) and lost all 4 matches because of trolls. I would rather deal with toxic people than trolls.

I've been doing this too, and can honestly say that the early morning (even if it's like 2am when I play) is way more forgiving. I did a team builder game in which I went 4-10-2 with mid-lane TP/exaust kassadin and despite being mostly inferior to the enemy viktor the entire game (with him getting a dozen or so ganks and having 2v1 lane pressure for most of the game) my team not only gave me honors but also gifted me a few champions to "try out".
