Dealing with Toxic players

I don't play ADC too much (I mostly play Top) but last night I was in a draft match with my friend and his acquaintances. After the match, one of them started flaming me as if I caused them to lose the match. I warned them before the game even started; I don't play ADC too much so don't expect anything spectacular from me. If anything, I was expecting a pretty casual game since it was just normals and none of us are even ranked. How do I continue to improve while people like this keep annoying me? Mind you that our midlaner conceded more deaths than I did and was caught out of position more. That's not a knock to him, I'm just saying what happened. I also was playing extra careful because Morgana's stun last for 20 years and Jinx can't really escape once she's been shat on.

The easiest hotfix is to simply mute the player. Hold down TAB, then, on the far right of the line that has the player's stats, click the mute button. Bam. No more hear-y the toxic comment-y stuff. From what you've given me, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot you can do to actually limit his toxicity (or anyone else with his behavior). If he won't be reasonable or cut the toxicity, then you simply have to limit the methods he can actually be toxic and ruin the gameplay experience for you AKA muting him from the chat. I know the "out of sight, out of mind" approach is kind of a cheese way out, but that's about all you can do. PS: You can still hear pings even after muting.

Like everyone said mute Also if I were your friend, I wouldn't invite the acquaintance again. The only reason mid wasn't called out is because he was probably friends with him and you were the other guy your friend invited.

I hate people like yall, "omg he said stop feeding scrub" when I am 0/7/0 15 minutes in game im gonna report him for toxic. You over sensitive people need to grow up toxic is EXCESSIVE you cant expect people to treat you nicely when you are ruining the game for everyone in all honesty you should get banned from ranked if you report someone for being toxic yet you feed. by the way think before you report thers no more tribunal so even tho i stopped typeing in game except like 2 times i still get reported and muted. That needs to be fixed the whole get muted for no reason without any justification someone just points and you are punished its like the damn salem witch trials up in here. oh yeah one more time man up, mute them, stop feeding, and get over it, its just words.

The easiest way to deal with a toxic player is to not engage. Under no circumstances should you compromise your mental state by allowing a toxic player (or even a player you perceive as being toxic/disruptive) under your skin. The mute button is a wonderful tool and has won me many games by allowing me to keep my head clear.
