When to roam and gank as a top laner? + more!
So i've been doing, dare I say it, slightly above average playing top lane for a silver 4 scrub lord who after 5 years can't get into gold (lack of skill and caring). Now, i've actually been having fun winning my lane, but then the inevitable happens, one of my lanes snowballs a Diana, and we pretty much lose immediately. When should I leave my lane to assist my teammates, WHILE making sure my opponent doesn't kill 1-2 of my towers? My problem is that I really, Really, REALLY like taking Ignite top, but i'm noticing that unless i'm absolutely beasting the lane, the enemy gets a solid TP off and wins some fights. I'm probably answering my own question: get TP instead, but are there other tips for ganking/times to do it/ other cool crap like that? It it means anything, I play ranked very rarely. SHould I be playing ranked for that matter? I personally don't like the stress of it and it's soul sucking nature, but am I missing out on potential skill improvements by not playing it?
