Always try to solo bot whenever possible
in champion select, offer to solo bot 1 v 2 if they suck at 2 v 2. chances are if they suck at 2 v 2 they will want to lane swap and you just prevented your bot lane from feeding.

But then you can't shit on the enemy top laner and get fed and carry games. You have to hope your bot lane gets more ahead then their bot lane,
most people are too scared to agree with this. I would always do this since it's fairly easy to shit on lower elo bot lanes as anyone with a gap closer. Esp if u ward their jungle and counter until they push
