Dynamic queue has made many high diamond players indifferent about winning

KirbyCake··67 votes·2,819 views

When there are obviously boosted players that got there by dynamic queue, people just stop caring about lp. Half the games here are open mid because it is obvious they cannot win with a boosted player who is feeding. (or even worse, a dynamic jungler ONLY camps a lane and that laner STILL loses ) If the boosted player is not opening mid, people just spam ff and overextend and not give a shit.

Really no point in trying anymore when its so easy to get boosted and its legal.

It doesn't matter as long as the casuals get what they want.

While I agree with the sentiment that dynamic queue is an abomination, I dont agree with that casual gamer bashing attitude.

First of all, as a SUPER casual player (only plays when all my friends are online for full team premade ranked) this change hasnt been positive for me either, old 5v5 premades was a blast, with all kinds of fringe team strategies and knowing fully well the enemy was communicating.

Now its easy to tell when youre playing against something like a duo and a trio because while they play mechanically better (that MMR adjustment) they play like its solo queue and often flame eachother in all chat, it really takes away from the fun of it.

Second of all, casual players are the vast majority of the games population, they are the lifeblood of the game and if you alienate the casual playerbase the game is going to die out FAST.

I'm Gold 2 and I don't care about winning. The victories don't feel earned. You go in with a premade or you don't play.

One game the enemy jungle eve has killed mid twice and top + jungle once by 5 minutes.

The next game the enemy mid is afk and they just open mid for you by 10 minutes.

I have yet to earn any win in a close game, and the really close games are usually thrown by one person dying at 30 minutes and being unable to respawn until I have children in college.

As long as skins are being sold it's all good. Now if the skin sales go down That's when things start to happen.

How obvious tho? People have bad games you know and toxicity isn't exclusive to bronze. How do we know you didn't get boosted yourself? I mean... you have that 3/11 game after all.

Really... people need to stop seeing "boosted" everywhere.

When you see a Yasuo player who doesn't know what to buy after shiv/IE in diamond, you know they're boosted. Or players who don't understand what early/late game champs are. I'm not in Diamond but my friend is and I used to spectate his games and he's told me about some of the boosted people he used to be paired with/against.

I hate my ADC3 votes

Do you personally know that Yasuo player to come to this conclusion? There is a thousand reasons why this could have happened. Bad game, bad day, tilted from previous games, new to champ, etc. Being Diamond doesn't make someone immune to doing poorly in a game. It's extremely hard to believe that someone could have gotten boosted to the 0.15% club. You can't just carry someone to the very top of the ladder without them being Diamond or at least high Platinum worthy unless you literally play on their account which in this case, Dynamic Queue as absolutely nothing to do with it as this could be done in Solo queue as well.

General Esdeath 1 votes

Looking at his match history, he played a lot of Yasuo, built the strangest items (Always the same, shiv, IE, shoes, maw even with no AP on the enemy team, and phantom dancer). All his games were negative and his runes had cdr. So yeah, I think it's safe to say he was boosted.

I hate my ADC3 votes

Sure, maybe he was boosted. But you could get boosted before Dynamic Queue by lending your account too. What I'm saying here is that it's hard to believe someone can carry this hard in a duo. You can't just bring someone to the top 0.15% if you have to deal with them playing badly.

General Esdeath 1 votes

Doesn't matter, you asked how I knew he was boosted. DQ just makes it easier to boost because you can have multiple people higher than the average. And I'm not saying bring them to diamond, but each game won because of that carry means 5 people lose an unfair game.

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

Oh come on. There are MANY streamers, casual masters/challengers who openly admit to boost for cash. U think a master couldn't boost someone to diamond 5? Why would u need to play on their account? Do u even know how league works? Having a high elo who only gives u commands is first of all enough to win most of your games. And second: solo carrying is still possible, look at trick. Even 3v5 can be won if you know how the game works.

I hate my ADC1 votes

High diamond =/= Diamond 5. You can't boost someone to Diamond 1 or Master if they aren't capable of thinking by themselves. Diamond 5 isn't even the 1% yet.

If your in high diamond, you can pretty easily tell someone who doesn't belong its as clear as day. It's like when you see your friend play league for the first time.

This just seems like another excuse to lose. Diamond players arent gods (far from it, i was low diam last season and it was a clownfest) so any time someone makes a mistake i could see idiots getting scared of failing so they go "boosted silver gg open mid".

I defy anyone to find more than 5 accounts that were clearly boosted more than 3 ranks. Its nowhere near as feasible as everyone wants to assume. A silver in a diamond game basically makes it 4v6

General Esdeath 5 votes

Too bad, because you need 4 for a surrender. Despite 3 being more than half of 5, we need 4. So any dynamic queue premade of 2 can stop you from surrendering. Isn't Riot great?

Old solo queue had premades of 2 ya doofus

General Esdeath 2 votes

I know, but solo queue is gone, we have to say dynamic queue. I'm looking for a true solo queue, no premades of 2 even.

Supreme Senpai691 votes

In my experience its the premade of 2 that want out of a game and to play another with each other, and its the stubborn solo players that desperately want to keep playing.

General Esdeath 1 votes

Of the 4 people trying to boost a friend with pre-mades, 3 don't surrender because the gold rank (We're in silver atm) believes he can carry because the other team is silver. What they don't realize is that almost all the people in silver 1 and 2 have gold borders.

High elo has been doing that for months before DQ.

Seriously, i can attest to this. Although i'm diamond 5 (which isn't in the same pool of players you mentioned), i get a very inconsistent experience with ranked. Players now are more likely to tilt and afk/feed/play worse because they're unhappy with the current state of the league. This explains why I've been a bigger % of ragequitters/tilted players (these are players that will type "gg i'm losing lane because im not getting ganked/my support sucks/my adc sucks/my top or mid lane isn't using TP to gank". And then we have games where we see coordinated tp plays by the enemy team in order to get 5 players to bot lane and the premade decides to end laning phase early so their solo laners/support can roam around the map together to pick people off. So this is a very frustrating experience for any player as one can imagine.

There's literally no proof that anyone is boosted and that that is the reason for losses. This is bullshit and make believe.

Prozzak4 votes

As someone who still grinds it out solo style, I get annoyed most by having a bad game and then getting called boosted 10x more then I had before. But really, games end too quick and there is rarely a game where I feel like win/lose the game was fun as all hell. Still happens, but not nearly as close to as much as last year.

I feel you Kirby. Good to hear from another High Elo, forums are filled with low elos who do not understand the drastic influence of Dynamic Queues. Last season I was dominating, playing on my own, ranking to D4 through solo queues with ease, truly enjoying myself. Now, it's filled with trash. You have 2 Plats carrying their 2 Low elo golds in my MMR. While my personal MMR is 1980, my teams end up being an average of 1740 because of how much Weight the premades carry onto them. Then you have the boosted accounts who were silver last season and all of a sudden are Plat 2+. That is just wrong. The Solo Queue players skill level mixed up with someone's who is reliant on Skype/Vent/TeamSpeak and others to carry.

Such headache.

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

Know that feel. I just made a board post a few days ago (but eu is full of shits so nobody cares) about this boosting issue, but oh well. We were 5 solos. Me gold 1 the rest plat5. Enemy team: Renek gold 4, Soraka plat 1, Trist plat 5 (was plat 2 season before) and yasuo plat 3 and gold 2 elise. Not only unfair matchmake but also 5 solos vs 3+2 plats. There was just nothing i could do. The diamond soraka clearly carried so hard. Her positioning was godlike compared to us and her commands to trist and renek when to push where etc. just made it worse.

I can relate to this. I stopped playing days ago after reaching DII. It doesn't feel good, the game sucks. Premades ruin everything and all for giving the casuals a false feeling of accomplishment?

fuck this game.

It might feel very shit to have some Gold in a Diamond game, but for us Silvers having a Wood V in our team also feels very bad.

I'm fed up with ranked now. Three times promo to platin. AS SOON AS I HIT PROMO it begins: afk, feeder, boosted shits, premades stomping us, boosted premades ruining my game. Stupid promo system really makes me mad. Lost all three promo games today, dropped to 43 points already. Next game lost, thanks to a troll who first afks after 15 min (as 4 we might have won) then he comes back and just jumps into 5 people over and over. At 20 points, next game in 20 min my team went 0/20. Everyone of them is 1/7 or 2/8 in 20 fuckin minutes. And suddenly i get flashbacks from certain board discussions " U JUST NEED TO CARRY HURR DURR IF YOU CAN'T CARRY U DONT DEZERF HIGHA " 5 games lost in a row. One felt meh, we just lost unluckily, happens. But all 4 other games, one troll/afk, boosted shits, boosted shits and troll again. So sick of it. in platin elo... seriously. So done with ranked.
