Split push key to win low elo?

Since ive been playing nocturne and split pushing a lot i always have good kda, more farm then anyone on my team(even though im the jungler)and almost every single game i take an entire lanes worth of towers and no one tries to stop me. Last game i took 2 lane towers an inhib and then a nexus tower. Not one person came after me. It seems so easy ever since i started playing nocturne and splitting all game is this really all you gotta do in low elo or have i just been lucky?

Usually lower elos aren't as coordinated. Ive seen a lot of games where split pushers completely take over the game. However, I would say you might be getting lucky with teammates who understand the dynamic of split pushing. Ive been in games where I'm hella fed and destroying side lanes, and they send 3 to kill me. The obvious counter play by my team would be to push their lane and take a tower. However, they come to my lane, we lose pressure and we lose team fight. Thus is the problem with split pushing. IF your team knows how it works and the other team doesn't, freelo. If your team doesn't understand how it works and the other team does, you're the one giving freelo.

It depends. I've seen it go both ways. Either the split pusher gets away with it, or the split pusher's team engages a 4v5 and gets destroyed.

Split pushing works pretty well in low elo due to lack of organization. You can keep doing it until you notice they start doing something to stop you...

Its a tactic. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. A thing to keep in mind when your split pushing is that if your a jungle, dragon control needs to be a priority, so split pushing top lane can backfire if their team can take an easy dragon, then have their toplane tele in.
