How to deal with Fizz?

Recently had a match against a good Fizz player who was pretty much near untouchable during fights, and was wondering if anyone had any tips or anything for dealing with Fizz.

It just felt really frustrating fighting him, and it seemed like every few seconds he'd just pop off Trickster and take away chunks of my health while avoiding anything I threw at him. I mean there were times where he even casually tower dived and walked away only taking 1 shot, or would jump over walls to get away safely.

Karthus Ziggs Malzahar I suggest as much as we all hate it... broken ass champions in this game just lack too much counterplay you just have to play different champions entirely

If your a mage, Zhonya's hourglass is your best bet when he jumps in. Hopefuly your team can either peel or kill him in time for it to wear off.

In all seriousness though, don't use abilities until he's at least used his playful trickster. You have to be patient with him. You'd probably want a point and click stun too, such as Annie. item 3140 work wonders as well as item 3157 . The quick silver will get rid of his shark on you and Zhonya's will help survive initial burst of shark or playful trickster.

He has an execute dot sort of thing on his AAs as well. So just be mindful of that.

To be honest, there is no good Fizz. Everyone who plays Fizz can look really good. I don't see a way to deal with Fizz other than Ryze. Ryze shits on melee champions really badly still, despite the nerfs. He is also tanky enough to survive Fizz's burst, if he is ahead/even with Fizz. Get Zhonyas (AND NO DON'T GET ZHONYAS ON RYZE oops caps), get QSS. Back off when he hits level 3. Or just - ban him.

Basically the only counter"play" to Fizz is the Ban button. Sorry.

ATM, he's really broken due to his playful trickster. The only champions who I can think of who can counterplay him are Akali/Zed, because their energy resource allows them to cycle their burst off of cooldown, and playful trickster's cooldown is longer than most of their burst.
