Galio

Put on the W shield whenever he attacks you and you gain back all the hp plus extra because of Brand's passive.

I just ran in circles around him as Evelynn or master yi and watched him miss everywhere

Actually Brand is probably the best mage against Galio, his passive is far more useful than any other. Other mages are annihilated by good Galios with good team

Brand attacking Galio literally heals him. Don't see how that's a good thing

See brand's passive. Also it's not like other mages don't make Galio heal.

Brands passive ticks hp little by little over a few seconds. Galios shield heals him for each tick. See Galio's W. When I play against Brand with 2/3 hp and his passive was put on me I pressed W and am full hp. The only other mid laner that makes galio heal like this is Cass. Other midlaners deal only burst and no dot which heals Galio the most.

Brand passive scales with enemy max hp (while Galio W heals him for a standard value) and Galio's W decreases in power at each tick. If a Good Brand manages it he still have chances. Also What I said is that other mages suffer Galio much more than brand.

You act like Galio builds full hp tank. He doesn't. The first tic can heal between 200-300 of his hp which is already more then 10% of his hp. That's already more damage then his full passive on just the first tick. Yes each additional one is 20% less but that's still a lot of free hp.

You act like I'm saying Brand doesn't suffer Galio. OFC he does, what I'm saying is that Galio has easier life against other mages so that he is not the "Ultimate Brand Counter". Ppl like Talon (or Xerath) do it better.
